For anyone who doesn't know the "Hahahaha!" achievement is for losing on the same map 10 times in a row. And that map is insanely hard, so I'm not surprised that's where he got it lmao

I hated getting that 'chieve :( Just about every battle took 3-15 resets for me. Them tough. If I knew I could play with healthbars I probably could have learned what was working/wasn't pulling it's weight a lot easier. That and how the 200 cost units choose a teleport target as I had to rapid fire resets until they got on top of the arty that the devs were clearly trying to demonstrate.

I did that level on my first try, if you use the whip guys they just launch the kings off the map but i got the "hahahaha!" on the dynasty map with lady red jane as the fireworks were too random and constantly launched my units off the map

The achievements are really broken. I once got one that's supposed to be for dealing no damage in a battle and winning, but I got it after gunning halflings down with muskets.

I kinda like the health bars. They add more suspense than they take away in my opinion. Seeing a dude wipe the field when you KNOW one more hit can kill him is really exciting!

I found out something pretty interesting with the health bars. It turns out that the mad mechanics apply a stacking damage over time effect in their AoE, which makes them good against both low health swarms AND large units, but only if they don't get attacked too hard, which they are super susceptible to due to their limited range. Pretty cool unit imo, both really large strengths and a really large weakness.

Also, their furnace functions similarly to a haybale or barrel in its ability to completely block projectiles, including harpoons, ballista bolts, and cannons. Guns penetrate it, and AOE projectiles like potions, explosive cannonballs, and tank shots hit further away but are still lethal.

I never knew this game had them! I've been using F to enter into char's to check on their health. It's fun knowing how much health a unit had after Victory/Defeat. Is their a way to toggle them during the freeze frame and view your units? Not knowing how low a Mammoth was when it won/lost Tom the game drives me insane since TABS's units don't shoe any sign of damage visually.

@@CityState_of_VallettaThey were added in the same update that added the good and evil factions. You can toggle their visibility in the settings, but IIRC it only displays for units spawned after you turn on health bars, so you can't turn them on mid-simulation.

I prefer to have them visible. There's been plenty of occasions where Tom won or lost by one unit, and I always wondered how much health that unit had left.

He has them. In the 'killing evil' video there's a big spiral of red stuff in the map that isn't there in subsequent fights - that's the whips. They're probably just tucked in the secret unit tab he never opened.

You should turn health bars on when you're trying to figure out what unit's do and how effective they are, but otherwise keep it off for increased tension when playing.

I like the health bars they add a level of intensity as we can see a huge unit on it’s last leg we don’t know if they’re gonna kill or be killed. Edit: although maybe you can do a poll as it seems everyone has a different opinion on it.

Yeah I'd like a toggle of them at the end of the fight so we at least know how close / not close the final fights are but wouldn't mind them throughout. Can you keybind it? Or maybe have it only display health of damaged units? Just knowing who's dead and who's buried in a pile of corpses is a huge plus.

Don't know how I feel about the health bars. Part of me thinks it removes some of the spectacle, kind of "measures the odds" in a game that's meant to feel semi-random and can detract from an underdog scenario. But then again, it's nice to see the inner workings of the health system.

Void monarch feels a lot more like a little unit killer. Definitely far inferior to the chronomancer, hoping he gets a buff. If anything, evil units are wildly inconsistent in terms of effectiveness compared to other factions; They either roll over the enemies, or they fail miserably.
