WOW... Got Goosebumps at 1:40. That's me in Moral Science class, std - 5th. 5th Period, Geet Ma'am. Just after lunch. It's just my word was the RESPONSIBILITY. Again at 16:20 "पूत कपूत तो क्यों धन संचे, पूत सपूत तो क्यों धन संचे" heard this from dad n number of times. And the last 20:30,, no matter how well you understand physics, chemistry, mathematics, or any subject. You are sitting in the corner smiling because you have already completed the chapter but can't put your heads up, and you are avoiding eye contact with the teacher and shivering in fear with just one question in mind, " Please, bhagawan ji, sir idhar nhi dekhe" and still trying to frame answers in English. This isn’t true. Central Govt encourages the use of Hindi all the time. There is a provision in the Constitution as well to encourage and expand the uses of Hindi everywhere. Non-Hindi speakers are paid by these monitory benefits and bonuses if they qualify Hindi eligibility tests. They are even given one extra increment in their payscale on achieving Hindi knowledge.

The other side of the coin is, only the English-strong Indian demographic can understand being derogatorily called "angrejo ke aulad", "macaulay ke bacche", "angreji ghulami ke maansik rogi", "leftist/librandu", being threatened and mocked and also of course...being told "angreji mat jhaad" even if you don't speak angreji to english weak-vernacular strong guys, but just around them with someone else. Voh issue kabhi raise hota nahi hai kyunki English-strong demographic India main bohoth kam hai aur logo ka mentality rehta hai "yeh saale shehero main rehke angreji baat karne vaale hi-fi paise vaale log...maaro salo ko" jab ki voh "angrejon ke aulad" sab unhi ke bacche hai jo koi na koi gaon main shuru hue the aur parivaar main koi angreji nahin boli jaati thi. There is HELL a lot of discrimination in the opposite direction.

TSP always gives the best content!! I remember in my school, we used to get fined 50 rupees for not speaking in English! I’m glad I got to learn, speak and write Hindi, the beautiful language.

Wait, were you by any chance at SFS, New Delhi? If not, did your school follow the IQF rules for speaking English? In my time, the fine was ₹10 each time you're caught by the "IQF monitor". I find it so ridiculous that we were forced to pay a penalty for using our own mothertongue!

I wonder what happens to the collected money. This must be one of the ways employed by the management to ensure that students converse in English alone at school. I can not imagine what the plight would be if they implement this practice for other subjects. Fail to understand concepts, pay up. Assignments not complete, pay up. Get low marks, pay up, etc..

India me kisi bhi saher se koi bhi ho, agar English acchi nehi hey tho o khud ko apne najariya se he chota dekhne lagta hai, just dusre sab reading sunke unpe hasta hai isliye... As a result they stated to hate that language too and always try to avoid that.. asahe o anjane mey hi khud ko samaj ki race mey piche dhakelta jata hai... I too started my Career with a BPO & can relate each and every minute of the episode, just sharing a funny incident, i use to work for DELL Customer care in Gurgoan for their US customers, where our minimum daily sales quota was 200 Dollars per day- One of my collegue, Rohit was a pro sales guy, once he convinced a customer that keeping an external battery on top of laptop incrases the power backup & he sold an external battery to him 😄

In the starting 3 minutes the series got me.. I remember when I left my native city to another city in class 11th as my father shifted to another city and I got admission in the company's school situated in the township. Till 10th I was a bright student and got 85 pc but when I went in 11th class somehow I lost my confidence as I was not having any frnds, school,city everything was new to me and moreover the classmates were very bully types. Whenever I stammer they used to laugh a lot at me forcefully and ask our English teacher to ask me to read the whole chapter so they I stuck and they can laugh. Slowly I lost my confidence and used to hate the school but I was in 11th class age 17 how can I say to my parents that I don't want to study in this bully school. Somehow I passed my 12th class but still that trauma and that humiliation is with me and due to that I don't talk to anyone who was my classmates. I am very angry at them but I cannot even say these things to them but I want that one day they should realise this and at least apologize to me.
