You just made exactly zero sense. The best way not to get bit is to leave it alone. They did the literal highest probability of being bit things they could possibly do. They got close to it, into contact distance with it, angered and scared it, and confronted it. LITERALLY the most direct quickest possible route taken to get bit. They were PESTERING an animal that was clearly in a distressed potentially injured situation. They could have not tried harder to get into a situation where they could get bit. I worked with bats for many years. Not once was it at all necessary to push it around with an object, throw liquid on it, or cajole and upset it. That was clear pestering abusive harmful behavior. Stop trying to excuse and justify crappy behavior. You just come off stupid.

@@seaotter4439 In the context of this video I am not sure I would call it abuse but it is sure skirting the line of abuse. However this was very clearly using ones power over something vulnerable to scare it and upset it. And if someone is that willing to act that way to an animal, it is strongly common to see the same behaviors against children or vulnerable adults. So there is reason to be concerned. These people sounded to be late teens or even adults themselves and if thats true then those actions are indeed very concerning. They weren't hunting prey for food, they were intentionally causing worry and harm to a living being for no reason other then to be entertained. That is not normal or healthy behavior.

Sorry to say but that bat has rabies. Thats why he poured the water on it - to test whether it reacted violently, which it did. Remember kids, any animals acting strange and uncharacteristic (like a bat on the ground in the midday sun acting weird) should never be gotten close to. Diseases are no joke. Especially rabies which has a near 100% fatality rate upon showing symptoms.
