For once I saw this come up right away instead of getting a “new video” notification from YT three days 🙄 after the video was uploaded. The three day lag has become annoyingly common. I am unwinding with this video now after a long day. The scenery there is so beautiful. I love all the green, and the fall colors too. These 2 episodes are perfect examples why it’s such a pleasure and really worth watching every minute of your videos; with the extras adding cherries on top 😃! Whether it’s the unclogging, these little adventure tours in the wilderness around that spots and the joy when spotting animals & flowers - I feel the same just watching it. Well, and coming from Germany - perfect opportunity to train British understatement skills now - and it’s slight tendency 😉 of being bit overly regulated, I’m quite amused to see that bridge at the end of the clip with deck slabs just made of logs (yes, noted the steel truss below) and (almost) no guardrails, especially when considering these huge log trucks. Would estimate height above the river of 10m / 33ft (if not even more). I could imagine the smile on the face of a truck driver in case he would be accompanied by `big city´ people; telling them “you just might wanna focus where the road continues on the other side - or simply close your eyes now”.

This video was playing while I was taking a nap; had a dream we were in a Target store looking for a beaver somewhere near the books.....
@gatorgogo27422 ай бұрын
I have a suggestion for your store. Beaver walking sticks. They could just be natural like you find them. Years ago, I had one and took it to school to show my students. They were amazed at the tooth marks and how it had been debarked. One little boy liked it so well that he took it home with him and I could never get it back. But everybody, young and old, who lived near him knew about it and he told the world how cool it was, so I didn't press the issue. I bet he still has it. lol I hate that the turtle nesta will be destroyed. when the road is graded The deer wanted you to leave. Her fawn must have been close by. The duck & duckings were cute. Gprgeous lupines! That young moose thought he was winning a race with you! Thanks so much.

Great Crested Grebe are the birds on the road, in Germany they are called Haubentaucher wich means hooded divers. Greetings from Germany
@NRZ-3Pi102 ай бұрын
My initial thought was more towards the common merganser ("Gänsesäger"), and also tend to stay with this when comparing pictures after your interesting comment here. The bird in the clip has its `signature´ feathers more at its neck rather than on its head. Unfortunately I wasn't able to detect a very clear frame showing its beak.
@ralfoverbeck51272 ай бұрын
@@NRZ-3Pi10 Okay, I have to admit that you are absolutely right. When you look at the chicks you get clarity. On the Great Crested Grebe they are striped, on the Merganser they are spotted.
@NRZ-3Pi102 ай бұрын
@@ralfoverbeck5127 No worries and Thanks for the additional hint; actually I’m glad your comment triggered me to look up the great crested grebe. We even might have those in my area since there’s lot of ponds around; just that I’m not aware I’ve ever noted them consciously. Different to the common merganser, who from time to time also visit ponds close to the company I’m working for. And well, you might be aware in Bavaria we’re using `Haubentaucher´ not only for the bird 😉 (for our friends in the US &UK: similar to the double meaning of `jay´; to stay with birds).
