What a incredible collection, of course the finalize plushies we got will always be iconic and some of the best video game plushies ever made, and then there are the prototype plushies which is fascinating to see and it would have been incredible to own if it wasn’t for angry birds losing its popularity in the mid 2010s. But still your collection has at this point become a museum of these guys and I applaud you for it. Thank you for preserving and saving these little guys.

I'm actually not sure! I played with it a lot, kept it in a box for 6 years, and now the tush tag is blurry. I'll check closely when I get a chance. In fact, when I go back to school, I'll ask my friend to see if his is a Rovio import since his is in better condition. All I know from the tush tag was that it is a 2nd Gen. The information in the back was all messed up, but I will try!

This is by far the best Angry Birds plush collection I ever seen. Like seriously without this channel I would have known some of these plushies ever existed like the cancelled Angry Birds Go and Star wars 2 sets. Some prototypes of these plushies. And I never know they were supposed to be a Minion Pig for the Angry Birds Stella plush line.

What’s the different between the Reds at 4:18 and 5:45? Something does seem different. Like, the second one seems to be a bit shorter with the face a bit lower as well. But I don’t know if that’s a real difference, or that’s just how that plush came. Which one is the one that’s commonly used for “reskins” like in the Trick or Treat or Season’s Greedings sets?

The first one is from the first _ever_ production run of Red plushies, where some elements of the prototype carried over into production. Mainly the shaping of the body and beak as well as the positioning of the face. The colour is the main difference though. They changed the red to be much brighter on all later releases, which is the main reason I made a distinction between them.

Absolutley amazing you were able to do something like this, big fan of your efforts to preserve these toys that have had a huge pot in my heart for all of these years! Question though, what, or why if you even know, were the classic wave 1 samples purged compared to everyone else? Really sad to hear that since those have been a favorite set of samples for me. (also wish we got the egg shittin' Matilda plush because that just sounds funny as hell.)

Huge thank you! To answer your question, CWT never really saw any of these as "worth preserving." Samples are just like early sketches or concepts. They're a means to an end that are no more useful than trash once the final product is done. So if they need the space, they toss them.

Don’t think I’ve seen a Family Dollar Pig before, but then again, it doesn’t look different than the standard one anyways. I’ve seen a few upside down tags before, but they are not too common. Factory errors in general are not, CWT has great quality control.
