The full plot for Intergalactic just got leaked. Spoilers ofc, but what do you think? Story behind the leak below.
“Plot and gameplay details revealed below was sent to a handful of gaming Journalists, the most notable of whom includes Jason Schreier, but they are debating whether or not to share it. The leaker is supposedly a disgruntled ND staff member who hates the direction the company is going as Druckmann gets more powerful and influential (part of the reason why Schreier is hesitant to give the OK). My friend in an exclusive gaming journalist discord server sent me this summary of the leak” Given it’s the first Naughty Dog game announced in years that isn’t a remaster, remake or a sequel, it’s kind of shocking that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet’s trailer from last night’s Game Awards doesn’t have more views on KZbin and more buzz online. Then again, the title is a mouthful and not quite as catchy as Uncharted or The Last Of Us.

I love how nowadays it's the cool thing to hate on something immediately. I mean it's cool to not like something or relate to it right away, but they're out right despise it without even knowing what it is is mind boggling. News flash if you read the script of most of the movies or games that you like it would probably sound like ass. It's the execution that matters. Say what you will about the last of us part two, the game played like a dream. One of the best playing games I've ever experienced personally. I even really enjoyed the story because it constantly did the opposite of what I expected. I hope this game does the same and developers continue to have the choice to make the games that they want and not necessarily what the hordes are asking for. Just giving Jordan hair would make her more appealing visually. The twist of the game reminds me of Uncharted 1 and 2. Where the enemies revealed in the second half of the game were revealed to have been regular humans until they got infected by Eldorado dust or eat the tree sap.

You keep saying, “this sounds Sooo stupid? “ You could literally say that about the plot of just about any sci-fi or fantasy story. Okay, so these lazy little hobbits are going to carry a ring with vaguely defined powers to the other side of a continent on foot in order to melt it in a volcano. All the while, getting chased orcs which are really corrupted elves and Super Orcs that are born in mud. I can picture you sitting their, showing off your undefined arms, saying, “this is sooo stupid.” Tons of great games have weak stories. There are lots of things to take issue with with this game, you don’t have to pretend to be shocked by the writing. Like, I think it looks cool. I think the chic seems bratty and annoying, but the atmosphere, the music, etc all slaps. But finding out you’re essentially stuck on one planet is incredibly disappointing. Meanwhile, I’m actually less annoyed by the main characters goofy haircut, now. If there’s a story based reason for it, that’s much better than if she just wanted to be edgy. I’m not sure that people will be identified by their hair in the future… But still. At least they are offering AN explanation. I’m so tired of people developing a narrative around a game and then going out and looking for things that support their narrative; and ignoring the things that don’t support the narrative. I’m not super optimistic about this game, but when and if it ever comes out, I’m going to play it for myself and decide what I think of it.
