About a week ago I noticed my wife had a sore back (she's pregnant) and I asked her why she didn't get a maternity pillow. She said they are too expensive. I had to pretty much beg her to get her a maternity pillow that was $20... she refused to let me get her the more expensive one. I'd definitely consider myself to be solid middle class and we always have left over money that we save at the end of the month, but she refuses to let me spend more than $20 on a maternity pillow. Next month I get a $400 a month raise... she's getting a very nice maternity pillow next month. She can bead at me if she wants to be mad at me.
