ANGRY RETICULATED PYTHON with EGGs at Prehistoric Pets!

This big mama retic sure is beautiful, but she is not happy at all that we are taking her eggs from her. She goes crazy with all of the strikes, she almost bites Jay in the face a few times! Lucky he is a good dodger. We take the eggs from the female so that we can incubate them. This insures that the we have a maximum survival rate and we lose as few babies in the egg as possible! If we left them with the female, many would not make it, just like the wild, where only a tiny percent make it to adulthood.

yeah, Boas and other constrictors are nonvenomous. Their bites still hurt, but there’s very little risk of dying from a bite. It’s a Constrictors coils you have to watch out for.

I got bit by my ball python and my corn snake. The corn snake bite was cute... danger noodle gave me a kiss basically. But the ball python bite (me, being careless at mouse-feast time) REALLY scared the shit out of my roommate. I turn around from the enclosure yelling and I have a snake latched onto my forearm by it's fangs, I have to pry the head out without hurting the snake while in searing pain, and then blood flies everywhere. (yep, there was a suprising amount of blood from that bite). Anyhow, my roommate freaked, she was seriously scarred by that. Honestly, I was a bit shaken myself, Gerald had never bit me before. But you GOTTA be careful at mousie time, that feeding instinct is ANCIENT and pre-loaded on their firmware. I can only IMAGINE the bite of a big girl like that reticulated... yikes. I do NOT want to F--- around and find out.
