From my years of skateboarding, scooters and especially bikes are unpredictable with their runs if you follow a skateboarders logic. They tend to get in the way and come out of nowhere with a giant piece of metal whipping around. I remember back when I used to go to the skatepark a lot, nobody liked scooter kids because they not only got in the way, they weren't doing any tricks. It's like the kid that shows up on a mountain bike and just rides around not doing any tricks. That's why nobody would like scooters. Kids get in the way skateboarding, but at least they are trying to improve a skill and practice tricks so they get a pass. But I remember one day, this amazing skateboarder asked to borrow a kid's scooter for a few minutes and proceeded to bust off the most insane tricks we've ever seen on a scooter. Everyone was going nuts. Most of us didn't even know there were scooter tricks. The skater said he scooter'd for years before he started skating. Everyone who was there that day respecting scootering after that. When I was a kid I even got hated on for rollerblading in the skatepark but when I actually started to learn tricks, every person was chill with me. If you're at a skatepark doing, or trying to do tricks, on ANYTHING, you're fine. Your skill level doesn't matter. If anyone hates on you for that, they're just assholes. But if you're there to just get in the way, people have the right to hate on you, go ride around somewhere else. The skaters in this video were just douchebags. Next time bust off a trick in front of them and demand respect.

Venice park was created by skaters as a memorial tranny park to the "Lords of Dogtown" era of long beach(the birth of modern skateboarding), it is funded by skaters as well a maintained by them. The park is solely designed for bowl style transition skateboarding.

The reason skaters hate scooter riders is because scooter kids are normally younger and they get in your way... i have seen that but scooter kids are normally like 5 so we cant do anything.
