@Null Void Everything had tubes and other shit in it. Made of hardwood. This was the case of most electronics through the 70s or 80s. TV's were among the last to continue to be heavy like that. I was little in the 90s, when flat screens (and DVDs) first came out. I had a 1983 RCA and a 1988 Zenith (retired both in August 2017).

I bought (back in 87) speakers like these from TV repair shop then mount them in cardboard box powered by Realistic SA10 amplifier. 27 ohm Magnavox 75S1 is the model of the speakers depicted here

It's just a plastic/fiberboard set from the 80s, not top notch or anything, nobody would restore one of these. Not built nearly as well as the old tube stuff.
