We don't do Tipping here except for a few odd places might have a tip jar. But with the prices we pay you shouldn't have to pay anymore and the employee should be getting a decent wage. Here waiters get something like 20 + dollars an hour just depends on where you work. If its fast food under $20 kids get $10 + per hour.

I hate to say these, but so many people are ignorant here at the comments section. If you're a fan of Late Late Show, you would actually already knew, this Q&A series thing was a comedy skit just like for example, the Celebrity Noses.. And clearly their actors are the Late Late Show staffers. I don't know why people thinking they're faking it as they were true, but NO. It was clear that they're *"making it obvious that it was fake"* not *"their making it fake"* . duuhh. Why would a talk show host talk this tip problem thing in front of pre-recorded TV show. btw, I knew some of their writers/staffers, which like that last one, his name was Steve. last time I saw James' PA also asking for questions

The tipping issue really does need to be addressed at some point. There are so many issues wrong with it. They can't keep using this "we have to live on these" social shaming excuses. Their salary is their employers responsibility. A tip or gratuity as it used to be known was a little discretionary bonus given by the customer for exceptional service NOT their basic salary. Plus why does it make sense that the tip has to be a percentage of the sale price ? If I ordered a 5 grand bottle of wine it still only has one cork in it. It just makes the whole experience awkward. Honestly speaking - slating a customer for not paying a high enough tip is just disgusting. Go and lobby your employer who's direct responsibility it is to pay your salary.

@francisjtuk ....amen🙌. Lol....a 5G bottle of wine still only has one cork. -Idk if I feel this way because I've worked jobs that people don't tip... And stand on the table of; You do a good job because your parting with a piece of your life. √Having a sense of honor in doing a job well done is a tip in it's self. You like going to sleep with yourself at night when YOU know you did a good job. --Not only that, when you do a good job for the sake having integrity and representing you and your ancestors well. You can't escape tips...life will tip you in new job opportunities, skills, relationships, connections etc. --Not to mention what if a patron is having a hard time financially and doesn't have all the extra money to make it rain of random strangers. ...Or what if the patron is mathematically challenged.... Not everyone wants to go to math class just to sit down and have a meal. --When you look at it, even those who don't tip, or don't tip well are still patronizing the store that provides an opportunity for a pay check.....so it doesn't seem appropriate to emotionally extort tips out of people just because they want to purchase something.

The *DIFFERENCE* between James Corden and Carol Burnett is that Carol doesn't *USE FAKE* Audience to ask *FAKE* questions. She is the *REAL* DEAL. James... if you *TRULY* WANT to make the show *BETTER* ... be *authentic* .. treat your audience well. They came to see you. CeeStyleDj im a brit and what i struggle with is that in my book a tip is considered special, a thank you for great service. From what ive seen in america (lived there for only one year) the tip is expected and a given. I would prefer to see the establishment pay a fair wage and the tips be earnt as an extra. Imagine going to a shop to buy a coat, you pay $45 but then are expected to give an extra 20% to the lady on the till. Its an odd concept
