Here is the truth: I drive a Huracan Performante and enjoy this car tremendously, probably the best sounding series production car in the world, maybe together with the Aventador SV. I would never race someone inside the city or drive at over 4000 rpm through neighborhoods (usually I switch to Strada when I do that, especially at night) and I would never rev my engine at a stoplight, just to make myself look and sound like an idiot. Here's the thing though: Whenever I am in the city with my car, people outside (other drivers, pedestrians, even bikers) are asking me to rev up my engine. Seriously! I never do and they look frustrated, sometimes even angry. Also other drivers always try to provoke and race you...in their Golf GTi or BMW 3 series. Not always easy to keep your calm, trust me. I wish some of my supercar "teammates" would be more mature and responsible but when you give a 20+ something kid such a car in his hands, we all know what is going to happen. Sad but it is a reality. Also there are some (not all!) supercar owners who think they own the world because they drive a 300k car. This is a mentality and educational thing, you can't change these people, this is how they have been educated. I understand that woman very well but as long as supercar owners don't understand that they carry a certain responsibility, nothing will change. I am not surprised that noise emissions laws have been toughened and will be toughened further and I am not surprised that the police started to go after supercar owners. A few make it much harder for the responsible ones, what a shame!

Robbie Marshall If you cannot tell what speed that guy was driving, you shouldn't drive at all! He was too fast, period. A good driver adjusts to traffic and his surroundings. Look closely and notice how many dangerous situations are noticeable during his excessive acceleration. There are at least three! If you don't notice any, you should learn how to drive.

A) Number plates dodgy or missing etc - fines and revocation of personal plates by DVLA. B) Community Protection Warnings then Notices issued to drivers for noise nuisance and speeds etc - fines and confiscation orders to drivers regardless of cars they’re driving to take them off the streets. There is legislation to tackle this. Council and Police need to work together to stop it by taking a few cars and they’ll soon move on. I like a nice car and have two of my own but these numpties are making things worse for everyone else. One day they’ll grow up !

Revving the car once or twice is okay. Revving the car(s) constantly for minutes on end is inappropriate. There are medical conditions like Hyperacusis, Autism, and Misophonia and one of the symptoms is EXTREME sensitivity to cacophonous sounds. Some people have even committed suicide because these noises are too much to bear. 😞 If you’re revving your car constantly for minutes on end then you’re incredibly selfish and have no regard for the mental health of people living with these medical conditions.
