My sister and I were at a concert. A BM/WW, average looking, casually dressed couple were sitting down when a BW/WM very attractive, nicely dressed couple walked past them. Storytime 😂 - back when I was in undergrad, I attended a very well-known football school. Many of the players dated pretty women of all kinds, however their were a few that strictly played in the snow. Now I (a bw) had a neighbor who lived in my dorm who was like model handsome (he could have modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch, no lie blue eyes, tall, athletic - the whole thing). Well my neighbor and I finished our last morning classes at 11:30am and we saw that the classrooms were next to one another so we would walk back to the dorm together. Purely platonic he was a good dude. Now we had to walk past this corridor where many football players hung out between classes that was near the building where our last morning classes were held. No big deal. Until one day we noticed that the players (all bm's on this particular day + many who only dated ww) were completely silent as we walked past. Then the next thing I heard was these dudes booing at us...like WTF🤯 Some of these dudes were the same ones who called bw "haters" if we had anything to say about them dating only ww. The hypocrisy was mind-blowing! So from that day forth my neighbor and I would walk past that corridor after class all hugged up like we were a couple😌😂😁

I had this happen to me when we (wm/bw) went into Walmart Supercenter grocery shopping together. At the self checkout there were 2 bm, a bunch of chatting black teenage boys and 1 bw who appeared to all be strangers to each other at first. At this point, we as bw need to focus on the positive. Get your education, get your money up, love who loves you, live a peaceful and abundant life. We give way too much attention to bm who have made it clear that we aren't wanted romantically. That we are expected to be uneducated and broke with them. That we can't and won't find anyone after a certain age, and the list goes on. The more energy we give them, we take from ourselves. We can't save them. They aren't going to listen or work on themselves. Why are we running ourselves in the ground over a lost cause? They are choosing to be this way let them be and just find your happiness. There is a world full of people from different races and cultures that love, support, and speak up for us. Why hold on to what's hurting us?

I’ve tried to tell my (black) friends this for years. I opened myself up to dating outside the black race and the way the black men, that I thought I was cool with, treated me…. And the black females that I knew joined in with the shaming of me. I have one darker skinned friend who say she can’t see dating outside her race. After decades of hearing this and knowing about her black husband’s cheating…I told her that while you’re championing these black men, you should hear what their black asses say about dark-skinned black women. In high school a lot of the black guys would date white girls. I made it a point to never date anybody from my high school and I only had relations with two. Let me tell you when the black football players found out that I had kissed one of their white football team mates they had a fit. They treated him like a stranger; giving him all of the side eyes. A funny thing happened in the subway a couple years ago. One of my best friends and I were walking across an overpass bridge to enter the subway, and this guy was handing out some religious pamphlets. My friend and I were just talking and laughing about the crazy work day we just had, when the guy approached us. We said no thank you, because we weren’t interested. The guy goes, “See you with your WM, God doesn’t want that for you” (or something along those lines. Me and my friend look at each other and buss out laughing harder. My friend is flaming, straight up Alphabet Gang for life. He was wearing cuter clothes than me, these chic fashion glasses, and on top of that, he had his nails all done up with acrylics and different colours… I turn to him and say, “I’m not even your type, is that guy blind or something?” He responded with, “Well he’s right, you’re my wifey.” And we’ve been work wifey and hubby ever since. These dusty BM just don’t want to see you happy. They can’t even read the room.
