All-star games in general have become so. The MLS All-Star Game has been an overblown bore-fest since 2005. The NHL All-Star Game is a 3-on-3 shit show. The NFL Pro-Bowl is so insignificant that it barely bears mentioning. The NBA All-Star Game is a glorified dick-swinging contest. The only ASG that I can conceive of deriving any enjoyment from is the MLB All-Star Game. That still seems to at least know its place.

I think they are scared by how powerful Lebron and Klutch are. KD gave his top 5 all time list, and Lebron wasn't even on it. I think a lot of the older players who actually know basketball see Lebron for the fraud that he is, but just try to play nice because they don't want the drama. In fact, they probably know about even MORE shit that Lebron and Klutch do behind the scenes that disgust them... things us fans will never know. I grew up watching the Bulls, Knicks, and Pacers beat each other silly in the eastern conference playoffs until Michael broke our hearts and went to play the Jazz or Rockets out West. I really got caught up in all the hype and watched the following games since. I even started watching the draft. Well, not so much anymore. As long as videos like this exist as the historical counter narrative I don’t mind seeing LeBron’s fake legacy continuing. The fans will remember the game as it was, not as the league wanted it to be. Can't see how it is questionable. Wemby has basically double of Chet stats per minute played. In a all star game Wemby is by far the obvious choice. Wemby is even a all star starter when it comes to stats per minutes.

You know that even without taking minutes played into account, Wemby still has crazy number, better than LeBron's rookie season, bigger than Doncic rookie season, better than Duncan's rookie season and of course bigger than Chet's current season ? Cher is 17/7/3, Wemby is 20/8/3 with less minutes. Even without taking into account minutes played, Wemby is still above. Also all star is individual reward, team achievements is irrelevant here.

What kills me more than anything is when he's on the bench in the 4th during a close game. Say he's down 10, IMO a competitor should be going hard to get ahead not throwing in the towel early.
