As a massive Bon fan who really dislikes Brian , I was blown away by Axl with the band . I hoped to see them perform with a new singer since 1983 when I had enough of Brian . I was never an Axl fan but he brought the Bon era songs back to life on that tour . Wish I could have seen them live with Axl .

High Voltage was the first album I ever bought in 1979, been an AC/DC fan since. Though several of those mid 80s albums are challenging.

AC/DC were one of my main musical fixations in high school. I saw them with their first lead singer, Bon Scott, 4 times in two years during those days. Thank you for having Warner on to talk about this. Jason and the Nashville Scorchers were one of my main bands in college during the 80s in Kentucky. I used to see them play in Nashville and the surrounding area back then. It's fuckin criminal that they're not more famous.♥️

Always have been a huge AC⚡️DC fan. When I was in 8th grade my friend Irene showed up at my house with 2 albums. She said whatever you do don’t let your mom See or Hear this. But listen to them loud. They were Back in Black and Highway to Hell. Been a huge fan ever since.

Great story , I saw Jason and the Scorchers play at Selina’s Coogee Bay hotel around about 1986 . And seeing Warner Hodges throw his guitar around his body like that was wild . My friends band supported them The Happy Hate Me Nots , great power pop punk band

If it was the gig that was Warners birthday then it was The Palace in Melbourne. I remember it well. We sung happy birthday and a girl ran onstage and kissed Warner. They played two nights in Melbourne. The second night I paid for 2 friends to come as it was so good the first night. Thanks for the memories Warner and thanks for these interviews with him on here. @@davidsellers3639Truth, as Angus has said many times Malcolm could play lead better than him, and I believe it. Mal found Angus’s first SG, his first Marshall….and man…Mal wasn’t wrong ever, they always had a great sound. I do find a similarity to Van Halen and ACDC tone…may sound weird, but listen to the high end sizzle live. Both played Marshall’s and got the most out of them, and ran em hot AF! My only complaint ever….was 85’s Fly On The Wall, as I love that album and that song. The power of the amps coming through the speakers, and being muted, you get that womp speaker resonance , which is right there on the opening of Fly On The Wall. My complaint about that album and BUYV in 88 were the amounts of reverb on Brian’s voice. I wish he had used in ears when he was younger….amazing band! I have a 2013 Thunderstruck SG. I got it in a trade, as it has a headstock repair, but man it sounds amazing. They suck for tuning, but what a tone. Sorry for the Flapjawed comment lmao. Rock on! 🎉🎉🎉

Jason and the Scorchers were my favorite band all through high school and beyond. I saw them in July 1987 playing a little non-air-conditioned club near Charlotte, NC, and never have I seen any human sweat like Warren Hodges dressed head to toe in black leather for the show -- a steady stream, like a faucet on low, poured out of the man's left sleeve through the entire set. Great band, and anybody who isn't familiar with their music ought to correct that.

When Highway to hell was released I thought, this is it, they were blossoming. What an album!!! Then Bon passed away. My friends were wondering what now? Bon was the Leader ( so to speak ). Then WHAM! I dropped the needle on Hells Bells and I think I wore that first album out. I missed that tour, but got to see them for the first time on the For those about to rock tour. Great memories. In my school you either wore a Rush shirt or you wore an AC/DC shirt. I was an AC/DC guy. Of coarse then I heard Blizzard of Ozz and that locked me in with Randy forever, but I’ve still always loved AC/DC and saw them more than a few times. What a great way to grow up!!! The best music, IMO. Great band OTIS!!

I finally saw AC/DC for the first time in 2009-which turned out to be the last tour of the classic lineup with Malcolm (Rock ‘n’ Roll Train was the new album). I wasn’t expecting a whole lot, because I thought Brian’s voice was shot by this time. Had shitty nosebleed seats. As I type this, the hair is standing up on my arms. It was a religious experience. Brian killed it. Everybody killed it. I’d say it is still the number one hard rock concert experience I’ve ever had. Life-affirming ROCK ‘N’ ROLL spirit to the hilt. Second song was “Hell Aint a Bad Place to Be,” something I’ll never forget.

Yeah buddy. Bon Scott was the man. I can still remember how devastated my 18 yr old self was hearing of his death on the radio. It's not a popular opinion but I never cared for Brian's voice and pretty much stopped paying attention after Bon died. ✌️

Saw The WHO at Wembley, 1980, I think, first big show after Moonie died, I think. We were camped out on the half way line. ACDC came on as one of the supports, never heard of them . Place went nuts, great show. Was the highlight of the day.
