Heya, could you maybe do a video on how James Hawkinson shot Hannibal or how Larry Smith shot Only God Forgives or even how Darius Khondji shot Too Old to Die Young?

I've really been considering doing Only God Forgives, but I've been wanting to do another show at some point! I'll watch a few episodes first, but Hannibal already looks really promising!

I totally support the requests for Too Old To Die Young and Only God Forgives. Very interested!

I love the swirly bokeh and I want a petzval lens.

The swirly bokeh from Petzval and Cooke triplets would overwhelm the actors in anything other than 1:1.19 aspect ratio - and it really does look orthochromatic, in outdoor sunshine it goes crunchy and the sky gets bleached. Makes me want to go see it. Just wondering if Jarin Blashcke used a back projection depth of field adapter on what otherwise are large format plate camera lenses. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I don't know why exactly, but i feel like one of the greatest filmmakers to ever exist, Stanley Kubrick, if he lived today, would have considered this film one of his favorites, and certainly, as i do, a masterpiece.
