@@anhaconda I feel like her story is contrasted with Cassie's - both got lectured on their shortcomings by Kuai Liang in 10, but while Cassie accepted her lesson and became a better fighter and leader, Frost refused hers, as she thought that admitting to imperfections or to needing to learn is a sign of weakness So she kept taking shortcuts that do not require work, such as letting Kronika cyber her up

I’m not one for making everyone a “good guy.” I firmly believe that guys like Kano, Mileena, Rain, Reptile, Shang Tsung, Skarlet, etc should always be villains because they are amazing villains. But I felt that Frost would’ve always worked better as an ally to Sub-Zero. It would’ve heightened both of them. But Im just guessing they didn’t want Sub-Zero to have like a “mascot.” Which is understandable but if done right she could’ve been a fan fave hero. She’s a joke now

Very awesome to finally see this. Didn't expect the hadoken hahaha! It's a shame the game haven't given her a redemtion arc like this yet. She might be a bit too cassie cage-esque in the vid (i think she would still be arogant but more in a Kung Lao way) but it's nice to see her more calm humble and realising she was on the wrong path when talking to Bi-han, for instance. I think that such a redemption would really help her character. I mean, I love Frost with a passion but man does she deserve better storywise. Even in Sub-Zero ending he save his brother soul but what about the pupil he lost to the darkness? I would like the games to, at the very least, give her a more compelling reason to hate Kuai Liang other than being simply power-hungry. I tried to complete the picture a bit in the past based on the bits and pieces of informations that were given to us about Frost and Kuai Liang relationship in Mk11 and other media and to me, as cheesy and cliché as it sounds, they should basically reveal her to be a yandare haha. To me, the flimsy reason behind her hate of Sub-Zero, her somewhat random desire to best/kill him, her arrogance, and her power-hunger is hidden a lot of insecurity. It all feels like a facade and a desperate cry for attention and acceptance. Here what i think might have actually happened to fuel her desire for power and hatred of Sub-Zero and the Lin kuei: In two of her interactions, she says she killed her mom at a young age. In one of them, she says it as if it was done on purpose, basically bragging to sound ruthless, i imagine but, in the other one, she sound kind of sad and reflect on it so what if it was actually an accident. Frost has always been described as a prodigy so what if her Cryomancy potential manifests itself very early on and got her mom killed and following the accident, she was rejected by her previous clan/village and family. Kuai Liang found her and thought her how to control her power and defend herself in the Lin Kuei's way. She gradually developed feelings for him but either due to his strong sense of duty, his guilt toward Bi-Han's Death, or because "Lin Kuei don't have time to socialize" (as he says in one of his interactions), he rejects her. Being rejected by her former village, her family and now the man that gave her a second chance and that she fell for and not really knowing how to handle her emotions (being train to only be a warrior), she snaps and grew bitter and cold (no pun intended) and she vows to kill Sub-Zero and to surpass the Lin Kuei by all mean necceesry. This aint a perfect explanation by any mean and while she still has her nasty personality in my scenario, fleshing out her backstory in that way makes her rage and motivation at least more understandable and left more of a door open for redemption but what do you guys think?

It's fine if they want to keep her a villain although i would much prefer her to be redeem but even if you want her to be "pure evil", i think she need a belivable motive not to excuse her but at least make her fall from grace understandable and also more tragic. Seeing her as a cyborg in mk11 was rather sad but imagine if we would have seen her fight along side the good guys and how close she was to Kuai Liang before, seeing her respecting autority but also arguing, disagreeing and evem challenging him planting the seed, before the fall. Seeing her as a cyborg would have hit a lot harder then...

It’s kinda insane if you think about it. She was an unlockable character and became cyber just like sub zero in mk9. Only sub zero had a good part and key role, cool design, and a pretty decent moveset in mk9 and x. But frost was the complete opposite and they make it known that she’s a weak and like a joke of the game. Sorry for the long comment, but I always found that to be a weird way of marketing their own character
