Anheuser-Busch: Ante Up!

Mark Buffington works at the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Jacksonville, Fla. He wants the same protections in a contract that all 5,000 Anheuser-Busch Teamsters across the country are fighting for right now.
“A raise, better health care, pension benefits, security for all 12 breweries, that’s all very important,” said Buffington, a member of Teamsters Local 947.
5,000 Teamsters work at Anheuser-Busch at dozens of U.S. breweries. Without a contract by February 29, there won’t be any beer come March. Teamsters voted by 99 percent to authorize a strike if this multibillion-dollar corporation fails to deliver a fair contract.
“This is on you,” Buffington said, directing his remarks directly to the company. “You need to ante up and give us our due.”
