I cried when bachchan died . Vinod was very good, my secind favourite but the effect which bachchan had on children and teenagers between 1973 and 1978 was so huge that he overtook other stars due to this fan following. Vinod was popular in ladies and adult men more but Amitabh had additional charisma over children and teenagers. Tgis is why he became a superstar with films like zanjeer abhimaan namakharam majboor satte pe satta deewar sholay kaala patthar amar akbar anthony ( in this film amitabh got best actor award filmfare and audience was crazy over character of anthony gonsalves) suhaag mukaddar ka sikander don trishul kasme vaade hera pheri khoon pasina dostana yaarana kalia namak halaal kalia . Amitabh became old loiking and repetative only after 1987 shahenshah but 1973 to 1985 these 12 years he was a one man industry. Just like only tgose who are above 75 year of age have seen real dilipkumar era and craze, similarly those who are over 50year age know the real amitabh era and craze

Such a magical feel-great movie this was .. whole school used to talk about it everyday.. students would keep retelling story, others would cut them off their version was “wrong” 😂😂 and they would retell, scene by scene .. One of the few movies that was remade into at least 7 other regional languages
