This song in all its simplicity is a masterpiece. Thank you, Ani.

I don't know a lot of Ani Difranco, but this is an absolutely beautiful song. I listen to this song too much.

The best live version I have heard. Holy crap, that was damn good.

this is my favorite Ani period - the band is spectacular and the interplay between guitar and keys brings a subtlety to songs like this that i don't think you see in earlier/later DiFranco an artist at the peak of her powers - fuck-tastic!

It may sound strange, but this is the footage I've been looking for for half my life -- the perfect version of a song that speaks so much to me that I have a tattoo designed around the concept. I've seen her 19 times, and she's only sung it once, and this version is better. Thank you for it, francoapple. I'm somehow more complete now, (and more empty at the same time... I miss the days where Ani looked like this, and had that sexy smirk, and I was young and free)......

The waves of the sea wash over like new memories. For just a moment, this song is the powerful prose of a past experience and she is the messenger. The saying "this too shall pass" works both ways. Time leads to change.. and the game is never won by being in just one place for too long. Curious about your tattoo concept inspired by this song.

@feelquiet it's some kind of static noise that I was not able to reduce. Sorry.
