Ranked 1.0 made every rank feel different. Ranked 2.0 is a team balancing system. Ranked 1.0 had mmr limits. Ranked 2.0 allows diamond to stack with bronzes which leads to lobbies with a diamond, bronze, silver, plat, gold, etc on one team. The game will put people from top and bottom of skill levels together to “balance the teams” based upon on odds of winning. It should not be this way

The MMR should be based on the highest rank in the squad, so if youre a diamond stacking with bronzes you should get diamonds for matchmaking. It would slow down queue times again but i would give anything for longer queue times with more balanced matchmaking.

@@tmoney1487 yeah for sure. They also need to bring back the system where you gain/lose more/less depending on if you play higher/lower ranks. The way the system is rn is flawed. I played with one buddy for every game last szn and hit diamond before dropping to emerald. My buddy was a gold throughout the whole season, almost hitting plat. We literally played every game together (same lobbies). Why is there a 3-4 rank difference when we play the exact same lobbies 😂 makes no sense for a ranked system (seems like cod sbmm not a true ranking system)

I would completely stop playing the game if they changed that I strictly play with Irls only a handful are near my rank. If I can’t play in a stack with my friends I’m not playing the game. That being said ranked 2.0 is terrible and needs a complete overhaul

@@oNextq Then dont play ranked. The unranked mode should be for situations like yours, with a less strict matchmaker so people can just log on with friends and have fun. But ranked should always be strict with whatever form of matchmaking they have, why play comp if you can queue into a lobby multiple ranks above you?

Literally had a Kali on Kafe the other day take defuser and bait on skylight for the entire round. And when she inevitably became the last player alive on our team she just hopped down off the roof and ran back into spawn and just started firing into the air while tbagging. Needless to say she became the newest resident of TKville for the rest of the attacking rounds afterward and had all defuser privileges revoked. Siege isnt a game meant for everyone.

It’s so annoying as a new player because all my friends are already good. So as a genuinely new copper-bronze level player, it’s extremely infuriating to be losing more Elo for losses than I gain for wins playing against literal diamond and emerald players. It’s almost literally impossible for me to rank up now unless I just turn into a champion level player overnight

When ranks meant something the meta would literally change when you went up a rank, like your first game of a new rank ever you would see different site setups and an immediate change in the quality of player.. I remember when you’d get to where you’d belong when you would rank up you’d have to adjust to the better players or you’d get slapped back down. Back then it all felt like it meant something because you’d adjust to the higher rank meta actually make progress and the mental reward you’d get was so much better. I basically just play siege now because I’m chasing the dragon of what it used to be 😢

The worst thing about ranked 2.0 is the anti boost system is WAY too strong. If you are copper and you have let's say a silver on your team...it's over..your opponents team willllllllll have a player..atleast one..that was a plat last season or the season before that. And when he's on their team..that mean he has someone on his team that is about rank appropriate for him so you'll have an emerald on his team too...and on YOUR TEAM?...copper 3 and below

I play against champs from the start of the season till the end in ranked 2.0. I have only ever got plat 2 back in the ranked 1.0 days. Last season i got plat and decided to play some ranked again this season. Big mistake as i am now sitting in silver facing emerald, diamond and champs every match despite never getting higher than plat myself. Like i know I'm a decent player but I'm not that good to where i can solo a 5 stack of champs every single round. Keep in mind this is all solo que. Gonna probably have to finally find a stack but then it's gonna be annoying trying to find people who aren't toxic as i only care about learning and improving at the game.

Get rid of the stupid system of getting less MMR near your previous rank. Getting out of plat has been a pain in the ass this season because the last two seasons I made it to plat and then because of inevitable real life stuff, had very limited time to make the final push to emerald or diamond. Also, bring back placements. They made the experience feel way more organic than the luck of the draw of going against an actual team of silvers, or a team of silvers who are really all emeralds queuing with one bronze or silver. Be more transparent with what the system actually is is my main ask for Ubisoft.

I’ve been playing siege since it came out and God was it just peak ranked back then, I bought it in my pc just because I thought it would be more fun cause I got like a $4,000 PC. I am probably a genuine Silver I wanna say but all I go up against is Emeralds and Diamonds. Siege literally made me quit gaming which is something i’ve been doing since 2009. I feel really empty because Im not playing a game, I know if I play a game i’ll get pissed and break another monitor, so now i’m suicidal.

Sounds like you need anger management. If your dopamine levels are solely tied to winning and losing be that in any competitive sport or gaming platform then you have some underlying issues that need to be addressed. My main problem with ranked 2.0 is the way they the ranks effect your game. I was gold 3 and trying to push plat. But beacuse my 'skill level' was emerald i was fighting emeralds to push out of gold. That makes no sense. You fight golds to push through gold and hit plat. Why would i have to fight through emeralds to get plat? If im winning games against emerald players shouodnt i be pushing diamond??

I hit diamond before ranked 2.0 and was only a few points off of reaching champ. After Ranked 2.0 its a struggle to get through a single game because my hidden mmr places me against the champ stacks and cheaters on PC without any sort of break. My stats suffer, I lose games, but my hidden mmr does not go down so I am effectively a diamond player stuck in a purgatory that I cannot escape from. It would be more manageable without the cheating problem being as bad as it is.

Ranked 2.0 Con: Your visible rank is not your actual rank. Ubisoft made two MMR’s, One for your rank and the other (hidden) for matchmaking. This means I can be Plat visibly but Silver for matchmaking. Thats why you get matches where you have a rainbow of ranks. Ranked 2.0 made visible rank pointless and useless.

Ladder system is the worst thing to ever happen to ranked for the people to have jobs and lives, like i get home and have time for a few games but im in bronze and since i manage to scrape my way to emerald it makes me play against plat-champs as i work my way through copper, bronze and silver. Im a gold player and all I want to do is play with and against golds, maybe sometimes silver and plats, yet I am constantly playing vs emeralds, diamonds and sometimes even champs. A champ should never ever be in the same lobby as a gold. I really hope they listen to the community but I dont have much faith in ubisoft.

Soo, imma tell you my opinion on this, I have just over 300 hours on the game so I haven't played the Ranked 1.0 due to not having level for it yet, so idk if it will be valid, but I got back to the game this season since it began, and my experience until now is, I was bronze and was playing either with last season platinum players and the enemies are just bronze and get destroyed cuz of.. platinum players, or next day I play and get into my team bronze players from which there are 3 players including me who have some kills but not really the greatest players in the world, and rest of our team is 0 kills and low score meanwhile the enemy team is just all average and everyone getting kills, so to sum it up, I think the matchmaking is really bad at least from my experience, I've hit maximum gold in the season 8, but the games I played lately are quite literally a coinflip which I really do not enjoy, I either can eat chips while playing or be sweaty as hell while not having a chance to win it

I was happier playing ranked 1.0. I miss placements but I think if they brought back ranked 1.0 they should still let you play with ur lower ranked friends but have match making be based of the highest ranked player. That way if they are boosting it’s still an even match.

Rank 2.0 is ubisofts way of making people play more ranked (along side the quick play and unranked changes) by making it easier and not hard/grindy. Also, R6 tracker dropped stats showing that champs have increased DRASTICALLY especially on console you had xbox have under 300-400 champs to hitting 1000+ the next season, every platform have gotten a MASSIVE boost In champs. Samething happend early in OW2 you had diamond players hit GM which led them to eventually being back its old system. I believe Ubi won't change ranked 2.0 because if it took them half of last season to fix the deadzone glitch but they sure can make new payable (scam) content like membership on the fly😂

I’ve literally never gotten higher than gold 5, but a majority of my games are against plats and emeralds or above, in the new season, I have played 3 matches against multiple season champs who are in a 5 stack, and around 5 or more matches against 8+ season diamonds, it’s actually insane how broken it is, and it really sucks, cause I want to play ranked, but I know I’m just gonna lose elo

I feel like they should make it so you can’t boost so like a champ can’t play ranked with a copper and coppers can only play with like bronzes and silvers so you can’t boost to champ

in ranked 1.0 long time ago i was plat 2 for the longest time but the good thing was since plat was a high rank back then i had plat teammates 99% of the time and they would talk. nowadays in ranked 2.0 i peak every season in high emerald and its so annoying to play cause i get gold and silver teammates that wont talk and wont even listen but i have to play against top diamond and champ 5 stacks almost every game.... and that the game is still running on these garbage servers with this garbage engine doesnt help... same with all the high pingers who apperently are gods in this game 90% of the time...

I don't play ranked 2.0 anymore. Totally frustrating and tiring. Imbalance between teammates. In fact, the game was boring. They used methods that serve no purpose and took the best: "terrorist hunting". The Caça was perfect for learning the mechanics of the game, it was enough

The other day we were playing ranked and we were 3-0 and we were on the last round with 1 guy left and I was waiting for him and I'm like "you think this is a game?! This is 20 years of my life!!" As I gunned him down 😆 😂 so I feel it 😆 😂 im almost level 400... i took a lot of breaks lol😂

The simple solution to siege is as follows, Revert back to 1.0, 10 placements, you place relatively far or close to your previous rank based on performance, when your at your minimum ELO gain make the bare minimum you can earn 20 nothing less, after winning 3 matches increase the ELO gain by 5 maxed out to 30, capping the elo gain to 50. it shouldn't take more than 5 matches to climb a rank and there should be rewards for win streaks. One more point, I dont care if your friend is a bronze and your a diamond and you want to play together, there's no reason you should be allowed to que together and ruin the lobby.

I don't think it's just ranked, it's also: 1. New wheelchair operator, which has nothing to do with Tom Clancy. 2. No PC controller lobby's or no decent controller detection. 3. Cheaters and xims 4. the milking is diabolical 5. Reporting for just speaking, the amount of players I've played against that just reported me for saying "hi" is insane, so the community is basically destroying itself by being assholes.

I’ll say this for ranked 2.0 that’s both a pro & a con. My match making in 2.0 before I hit emerald each szn (on console) I never run into MnK or Xim users. Shouldn’t say never cause yeah you’ll hit one or two games with them in gold or plat, but I’m fair enough to be truthful on it that it’s rare. But I’m hard stuck emerald 4 because every game has both MnK & Ximers on both teams and I’m just not willing to grind like I’d have to, to even get the damn emerald background. Again Copper-Plat, pretty even match making. Emerald, unenjoyable & unplayable. My experience in 1.0 tho, my match making was always broken past Silver. Because I was a hard plat because well that’s just where my skill set was and my friends were all hard silver/golds, but every placement match & ranked game was sweaty asf and unenjoyable. I liked the grind of 1.0, but like the match making of 2.0 (up to a point). Sidebar from after finishing the vid, definitely make a siege 2 vs continuing this dogshit. Take the best from what you’ve already got. Give a new budget to making new and better maps, with the tech available today that wasn’t back when making r6. But damnit keep the physics of the game the same, don’t pull a CoD.

im hardstuck gold, i have a 1.5kd with 100 games, consistently beat champs in 1s and even 1v2s and get called out for cheating every single game. its so dumb. im gaining 20 elo and losing 30 the second i hit gold 5 note: i was hitting plat in 1.0 oh yeah and i played ALL my games with my mate, he has a .8 kd i have a 1.5 and im gold 3 and hes plat 2 like what the fuck
