This song came to me at a time when I was mourning the death of my cat. To some people they may not understand and undermine the power that love has between person and companion animals. I adopted him elderly so we only had 5 years together but he was the closest thing I’ve ever come close to falling in love with. I’ve never been so close to a single soul. He’d sleep next to me and he would literally be attached to me constantly for the last few months of his life. I’d rock him in my arms and sing to him as he’d fall asleep on my shoulder. He loved food and was such a messy eater, he lost some teeth and would get the food everywhere so twice a day I’d have to wipe his face with a warm rag. It was so hard to let go of him and leave him behind, I obviously still haven’t. 💔

grief is the price that we endure so that we can give our little companions all the love in the world for the full duration of their lives. that's what we are meant to do as human beings. I have no doubts that your fur baby loved you with all of his heart and it sounds like you gave him a fantastic life. I have only ever soul bonded with one person but I have had soul bonds with several cats, I miss all of them. but I also feel very grateful that I was able to be their human companion whilst they were here and guide them safely to the other side. god bless you ♥ you never really "get over" grief... it just gets less intense over time. your companion will always be a part of you hun

I COMPLETELY understand this. I still have dreams about a cat i lost 8 years ago. She was my first child. As a small kitten she was attacked by a dog and left paralyzed for 2 weeks and i had to nurse her back to health and bottle feed her every couple of hours. After she made a full recovery she became incredibly attached to me and i loved her more than anything.... 4 years later she was attacked by another dog and didnt make it... ive always blamed myself and the event traumatized me. I was very depressed and became an alcoholic for a while after that

Years ago I met a woman. She was everything I had never experienced before. Her beauty came from the balance she possessed, the way she made everything seem like such a wonderful gift. I met her at work. We fell in love in January. I still remember every day we would go and get food, or just sit in her car and talk, every day we slept next to each other, every moment was so warm and perfect. I didn't lose her because someone did something wrong. No-one stopped loving anyone. We didn't have enough time for each other because I changed jobs and we both had children. Gradually we drifted further and further apart, I tried to warn her, and I begged her to help me not let what was happening to us happen. She always assured me that would never happen, we would never grow apart, and that she could never just let someone like me drift out of her life. I still dream about her all the time. Some days I close my eyes so I can be with her again. Sometimes she tells me she still loves me just like she always did, sometimes she tells me all the things I could have done to stop things from being this way, sometimes I just watch her from afar. No matter what they are, my favorite dreams are the ones of her. She's doing fine without me. I would still do anything to go back to that January when we met and relive those memories. I don't think I can ever really recover from that. That was true love. I hope I never feel that way again.

Take care of yourself and I'm glad you were able to create such memories. In my case, I lost my woman because she changed, and she changed in a matter of days. Normally I wouldn't understand why it happened because she also promised me so many times that we would never leave each other but I have looked at her behavior and I believe she has a mental health problem. It's strange to lose a person as if they practically died the moment they live, but they are completely not themselves. I sang this song to her not long before she changed and she told me she loved my voice and my singing. I have been suffering for almost 3 months and trying to get her back, but at the moment I don't see the point anymore and I'm tired of offering her help that she don't accept. Fortunately, I still have a lot of time ahead of me, and my whole life and i hope that you also have some time. I wish you to be happy and recover from this love. Your story is beautiful.
