Been obsessively watching videos on DIY planer stands ever since I picked up a planer and this is the best design I've seen. The rollers are a fantastic addition too

I'm glad I found this video! I just bought the DeWalt 735 myself. I made a temporary table top that fits into my Tough built saw horses. It's 42"x 48". I have a 12x20 garage I've been making into a workshop and with limited space my temporary solution won't work long-term. I love the outfeed table that folds and has built in rollers. This mobile cart will do wonders for my limited space. Also a shelf for my router jig I want to build. Can't wait to get started!! ❤

I just bought this planer and will definitely be making your stand - great video and plans!! You may want to consider buying a Kreg door slide jig if you do more slide-out drawers; relatively inexpensive and makes the slide-outs fun and easy ( your method is quite good however). Looking forward to watching more of your vids.

Great idea. One tip though. I see your metal in feed table height is too low. This should be absolutely level with the fixed platen under the blades. From the video, it appears the in feed table is approximately 1/4" low and needs adjusted up. Both in feed and out feed should be perfectly level with the interior platen.

I realize that most people are going to leave favorable remarks that will give you a good ego boost and that is fine. I on the other hand would like to see your talents grow and that of your followers as well. So here is my criticisms. I think the use of pocket hole screws will be the failure point for the frame for two reasons. 1) end grain soaks up glue and the amount you show on the video in not enough. 2) the racking will eventually cause the joint to fail in short time. I built a similar stand but I used lap joints at all the corners and where the aprons attached. Pocket hole screws have a place in non structural pieces. Like face frames and trim. I would challenge you to look at Stumpy Nubs' channel he does a great job of showing how joints fail and where the failure comes from. If you do a search on KZbin for "Pocket Hole Joint Failures" you will see what I'm getting at here.

Thanks for the comment. I have built furniture and workbenches, table saw stands etc with pocket hole screws and they are going strong years later. Pocket holes when done right work well.
