Our story begins with Ravenpaw dropping a flower on his recently deceased brother, Foxpaw’s grave. Ravenpaw struggles with the grief of his brother. He uses one thing to cope, though. Herbs. He gathers herbs and stores them in an empty den in camp. He enjoys collecting them. Later Ravenpaw realizes the herbs can be used as medicine. He decides to train to become a medicine cat, which is a choice his mother, Nightwhisper approves. Nightwhisper tells Ravenpaw about his father, Brick, and his courage. She says that he reminds her of him. about a moon later, Nightwhisper is killed by dogs. Ravenpaw grieves for his mother, but swears he can still feel her presence. Ravenpaw travels to the Starstone to become a full medicine cat. There, he meets with the spirit of his mother, confirming his previous suspicion that her spirit is present. Ravenpaw, now Ravenwhisker, spends his time in the medicine den as his brother Tigerstripe becomes closer and closer with Snowpelt, a cat in their clan. Though Ravenwhisker is happy as a medicine cat, he still sometimes wants more out of his life. Moons pass as Snowpelt has Tigerstripe’s kits, and then dies a couple moons later by being hit by a car. A couple moons later, Ravenwhisker comes out of his den to find Tigerstripe standing in the middle of the clearing with a clawed eye. After further investigation it is revealed that Tigerstripe attacked Stonespots, a fellow clanmate out of jealousy over his new role as deputy. Ravenwhisker confronts his brother, disappointed in his actions. Tigerstripe is later exiled from Cloverclan. Ravenwhisker is upset and lonely now that his brother has been exiled. The feeling doesn’t last long, now that he’s got an energetic and bubbly apprentice, conveniently named Foxpaw. One night, Frecklepelt, Ravenwhisker’s friend, confesses that she is pregnant with Tigerstripe’s kits. A shocked Ravenwhisker promises to keep the secret, and when the kits are born, he can’t help but notice their resemblance to Tigerstripe. Less than a moon later, Frecklepelt wanders into camp without her kits, announcing that she gave them to Tigerstripe, now Tigerstar, the leader of a new clan he started called Nightclan. At this point, she tells the whole clan who the kits’ father is, except Snowpaw and Leopardpaw, Tigerstar’s other kits, in fear of hurting them. Ravenwhisker once again goes through a phase of sadness. He is upset that he won’t be able to watch his nieces grow up, and even worse, he doesn’t even know if they’re safe. About a moon later, Ravenwhisker spots two cats walking into camp. One is a kittypet named Milk, and another is a rogue named Rock. The two join the clan, earning the names Milktail and Rockfall. Ravenwhisker and Milktail become close friends. They both spend a lot of time with Leopardpaw and Snowpaw. Milktail has a crush on Ravenwhisker, and he knows it. Ravenwhisker informs her that he is aromantic. However, he still wants a family of his own. (medicine cats CAN have kits and partners in my OC universe) Both him and Milkfur agree to have kits and co-parent them as friends. About two moons later, the kits are born. Ravenwhisker, now a proud father of two daughters, Juniperkit (Black&white kit), and Tansykit (Cream-colored kit), looks at Milkfur while he holds his kits. Meanwhile, Leopardpaw (now Leopardstripe) and Snowpaw (now Snowbloom) become warriors. Ravenwhisker and his daughters congratulate them. Snowpelt’s spirit watches over the ceremony. Speaking of ceremonies, Ravenwhisker promotes his apprentice Foxpaw (now Foxtail), to a full medicine cat. Ravenwhisker’s kits also become apprentices, taking names Juniperpaw and Tansypaw. many moons go by and Ravenwhisker watches over Cloverclan. He is finally content. His kits (Juniperberry & Tansytail) have become warriors as well. several nights later, two Cloverclan warriors, Pebblestripe and Nighteye burst into camp. they’re wounded, and they announce that Nightclan is on their territory, ready for a battle. Everyone is uneasy, except Ravenwhisker. He’s ready to reveal something that nobody else knows. Cloverclan rushes into battle, and just as predicted, there’s Nightclan, waiting patiently at the border. Shadepelt, one of Frecklepelt’s kits yells at Leopardstripe. She tells him how lucky he and Snowbloom are for actually growing up with a clan who wanted them. When Leopardstripe points out that it was Tigerstar who refused to give Shadepelt and her sisters back to Cloverclan, Shadepelt blurts out that at least he was the only parent that wanted them. Leopardstripe and Snowbloom are shocked at this information, as nobody in Cloverclan told them about their half siblings. Frecklepelt breaks down. She is almost attacked by Shadepelt until Leopardstripe stops her. He tells Shadepelt that kin should never fight each other, no matter how hurt they are. Nightclan’s medicine cat, Ivyclaw, panics at the sight of her injured sister because she ran out of herbs. Foxtail watches and offers some of her herbs to a grateful Ivyclaw. Ravenwhisker watches the events take place. He’s proud of his nephew and apprentice for showing kindness and nobility. Then, like always, the happiness is interrupted. Tigerstar comes up behind Ravenwhisker, but this time, he whips around and faces his brother. Then Ravenwhisker reveals the secret. Tigerstar isn’t a true leader because Starclan never granted him his nine lives. In a fit of rage, Tigerstar (technically Tigerstripe) slashes Ravenwhisker’s throat. Before Ravenwhisker collapses, however, he does the same to Tigerstripe and takes him down with him. Finally realizing what he had just done, Tigerstripe apologizes for his actions. Ravenwhisker forgives him. The two brothers die, and we all know what follows.

I love their story so much!! You’ve kept me so intrigued… I don’t know if I’m right, but I love the symbolism with the blood at the end, that even if they can’t reach each other their bond runs deeper - of same blood. That Raven forgives Tiger. Such a tragic family! The characters are just so well developed I love so much of it. Thank you for their story!

thank you so much!! and yes, you’re correct!! i really wanted to make the blood “mix” because i wanted to kind of throw it out there that in the end, they are still equals.
