The Dhadi-Vaar music genre could be back to the times of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru. According to Sikh legends, he used to sing them while fighting the Mughals in the 18th century

This genre of musuc was sung to pump the troops of the Khalsa armies of the 10th Guru in his campaigns against the Mughal empire. The person who this song is based on, Arjun Vailly (Arjun the fighter, thef fearless, the gangstaaa lol), is actually the son of the Legendary Sikh General, Hari Singh Nalwa. His claim to fame is that he successfully conquered Afghanistan and kept the British from taking complete control of the subcontinent. It wasnt until the his death, that his son fought the Brits when they attacked his fortress. He later became a large figure along with his brother in the furst abd sexond Sikh Anglo war. The loss of which gave dawn to the union jack flying over the ebtire sub continent. Later to become what is now called India. The lyrics arent about the character in the movie who is also named arjun. Kuldeep manak voiced this same song before but the lyrics abd song itself is much older.
