Definitely a big fan of the very first island. I like open spaces with not a lot of clutter and plenty of running room. Nice to see an island about in the middle of being too busy and completely empty. Too much going on with decor and tiny spaces makes me feel claustrophobic. Plus anything that still makes me feel like I can play the game on my own island is a big plus.

I would love to see an inspiration video for cliffs at the back of the island or just the back! I always have trouble with that area because of the confinement and it's usually the last spot. Amazing islands as always Lex!

Great video! This is the aspect of the game I struggle with most. I was so happy to see islands with south facing river mouths featured. I have one and I know people generally don’t like them, but I think it’s so pretty. I’m trying to take my current island very slowly so that I don’t get discouraged. I think I’m better at the natural style, but it takes longer.

My new island is what I would call resortcore/festivalcore (music, not Pavé). It’s a work in progress, but I decided to go out of my comfort zone (my previous one was a small town/cottage core) and challenge myself. Love these type of videos. Thank you so much.

I just started terraforming my island and I got rid of the 2nd and 3rd layer flowers and trees im just not sure on what to do next, this gave me inspiration on where I want my villagers to live as I keep making my island come together

I love the way an in-game pathing shows on the map but with certain custom design I can’t necessarily lay it over the in-game pathing sometimes so I have to sacrifice one or the other 😓

I always have a really difficult time trying to figure out how I want to set up my island and in the end it always turns out symmetrical. I wish I could make it a non-symmetrical island that is easy to move around in.

I personally like to put ingame path underneath, because i tried putting just the custom designs on the ground as i was making my towncore island and i didn't see my villagers walking around anymore. They were either stuck near their houses, gathered to the plaza or airport, where i had put on some ingame dirt. It was really annoying and i changed right away.
