Another detail is that where it rains, if you run on the dirt path, sand or dark dirt path you’ll see that the path splats. Same with grass but it splats water. Pretty cool detail if you ask me.

When you close all your curtains inside your home and go outside, the windows will show you that the curtains are closed, Also when you have your house lights on smoke will appear from the chimney of your home, but if the lights are all off there will be no smoke.

Another Blathers quirk I love is that when you donate a fish or fossil and ask to learn more about it, he will use a happy reaction. But you when say you DON'T want to hear more about the bugs, he will use a bashful reaction as though he is grateful that you don't want to make him talk about the insect.

If you hold r on the joycon in decorating mode you can select and move multiple items (e.g. a table and chairs) also if you press and then hold a while swimming you can swim at a moderate speed for a few seconds

Customizing a lot of different items have some interesting details that can easily be overlooked. One I was excited to find out about recently is that you can customize the autograph cards to a theme titled "Comedian's Signature" and it features a little signature drawing of Dr. Shrunk. Since Dr. Shrunk is one of my favorite characters not in the game and am not sure if he ever will since we learn reactions through our villagers and buying them now, I'm glad we at least have this little nod to him (along with his poster, and normal villagers occasionally mentioning his book.)

I liked how the gramaphone in other animal crossing games made vinyl scratches/popcorn sound when music was played on it. it sounded old timey, which was pretty neat. also it's great about the ringside seating, I liked how in GameCube the crowd cameras would flash. btw on a side note stand near blathers with a bug in your pocket and press "show off" he'll be scared by it

Sable, Mable and Label are all good imo. Label's minigame can be pretty neat, AND, you can get variant clothing not normally sold in your Able sisters shop from her to complete the minigame. I just wish they had more dialogue. Judge's bell is neat, as is the audiophilic differences in noise makers. I do wonder what other item/wall combo's may have hidden secrets.

A small detail that I noticed yesterday is that the smoke from candles (like Mom's candle set) moves in the direction that the character would blow when you extinguish them. I knew the smoke was doing that outside in the wind but it's a cool little detail that this happens indoors.

Yes I agree that Blathers bugs are gross and creepy I still can't catch the scorpion or tarantula I get so nervous I get bitten every time I try to catch and screech...I asked a friend to catch for me as I will never able to catch them but cant gift insects and complete the insect collections sigh...but then again it's cute and weird how Blathers scared of insect when he's an Owl/bird type don't they eat insects? IDK it's funny

I checked again a week later, hope to get my 100 to 1,500 bells, and when I opened it up, there was a retro record player/stereo AND a high-end stereo! I’m surprised you didn’t mention with the curtain detail that if you close the curtain in your main room, it will close the curtains on the exterior of your home. Which is why I hate that there are so many wallpapers without curtains or that cover the windows entirely.

I didn't find out about the ability to close curtains or blinds until I had been playing ACNH for about 4 months 🙃 and I figured it out on accident... I was trying to turn something on, and I clicked to interact with the window.... and low and behold.. my avatar pulled the cord and the blinds fell down
