This game was great... I remember I got grounded in grade 2 or 4 or something and couldn't play this. When I got back on finally, Tortimer was sad that I didn't take care of the lighthouse like I said I would.... XD

This game brings back such wonderful memories of chocolate milk, inside jokes, and best of all, my cousins. This is by far the most interactive, fun, and brilliant game I have ever played. When they release the Wii version I'll be outside Walmart with $300 in my pocket, waiting to burst through the doors as soon as they open.

this has to be one of my favorite games of all time. this was the SHIT. my friends and i played for hours each summer night go outside and wonder then play till 3 until we caught every fish and bug and then the dinosaur bones. still have yet to find all the paintings.

I love this game and always will! Me and my brother used to play gamecube one in like 2004! i was like 5 and LOVED it!!! Now i have the wii game and finished it. I have DS but never play, and I got the GameCube one again and i just started it. I legit started crying when i was playing. Animal Crossiing brings memories back

I will never forget how MUCH I begged my mom for this game when I was a kid. lol I was so excited to play a game for once in which all you do, is do what you want to do :) I will never forget waiting endlessly for the game to be returned to Blockbuster Video so I could play it, since it was not returned on time. Then, when I went to school one day, I found the kid who STILL had the animal crossing game. I said to him "Return it NOW so I can play it!" lmao Animal Crossing will ALWAYS be my fav :3

Wow, I Live in Holland and I have this game since it came out here (2001) AMerican version, I play it with a Freeloader. I can't believe how Addicted I got of that game, all fish, all bugs. The whole city with a perfecy rating, no weeds. Fruit trees everywhere. If I would recommend an RPG like style game, this is definitely a good one, It's worth the 30 Dollars if you ask me. Seriously, you'll enjoy this game. It feels like you live somewhere else, in the game.

It's actually Aerobics week on the game. I don't remember when it happens, but if you go to a certain number of Aerobics meetings, you get this cool radio that lets you do those moves in your own house on Animal Crossing.

Something tells me this trailer was made long before the game was finalized. Example: 1. The 'Giant Snakehead' being referred to as 'Spotted Snakehead' 2. Different pun for the 'Giant Snakehead' 3. Either it's set on a different tone, or animalese was much more different. That's just a few.

@iGRIND13 the reason why u really cant play it for hours is cuz after like a good hour u run out of stuff to do during the day. things happen daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. like one of the biggest source of getting bells(money) in this game is by selling fruits, but every fruit tree only lays 3 apples every umm 3 days i think?(been awhile since i played it)other then that, there are sumtimes stuff and fossiles that you have to dig out.

discovered Animal Crossing 3 weeks ago and been watching Animal Crossing videos, reviews and reddit threads about it until the 3DS version comes out. i am so tempted to buy the original Animal Crossing for the Gamecube, but i will just have to wait D: but at least it is only a week and 4 days before it will be released in Denmark :D

I've just started another town on my gamecube version. I've always prefered it to the DS version - it's just...well, nicer. It just feels better. I lost over half a year to the cube version, but only 2 months on DS. And i bought both on launch day (24th Sept, 2004 Cube, 30th March 2006 DS.) This is the early versions of the cube game, when they were converting it from N64. There's a lot of notable differences, like the voice atcing (which, i must say, is far superior on cube.

well, it's a casual game. it's basically life. you can hang out, decorate, design clothes, and your'e the new person who just moved in. everybody else is an animal except the people that are other players. it's one of my favorite games, it's relaxing. hope this helps.
