Phylum Coelenterata, also known as Cnidaria, includes simple aquatic animals like jellyfish, corals, and sea anemones. They have a simple body with a single opening that serves as both mouth and anus, and they possess stinging cells called cnidocytes for capturing prey and defense. These animals usually have a symmetrical body and can exist in two forms: polyps (like corals) and medusae (like jellyfish).
