I remember going on Kilimanjaro when I was like 6 before they changed it and I genuinely thought we were chasing poachers and I was so scared. But the fact that they changed it makes me a little bit sad.

I actually liked the plot of Kilimanjaro, but Disney was probably right to cut it. Beyond being heavy for kids, it distracted from the animals that are the real draw for the ride.

I remember it as a kid. Grew up hunting and fishing and I honestly think that really had an impact on me, shows how important it is to not only follow fish and game laws, but also make sure to hold others to the same moral standard, else the consequence.

AJ did you know about the hidden Balou along the wall in the shaded seating area in the Africa section? The entrance is where the Harambe drummers play. A former cast member showed it to me.

Hey! I love DFB! Do you think you guys could put together like a complete Disney World Holiday planning schedule to help keep track of when to book stuff? Eg. As soon as you can - Park Pass, Up to 60 days in advance - Restaurant, 7am each day of your trip - lightning lane, etc? There's so much to keep track of now!

"When you take a ride on Kilimanjaro Safaris, you'll also get a chance to see the lions who influenced the characters in Disney's classic animated film, 'The Lion King.'" The Lion King came out in 1994. The average adult male lion lives for 8-10 years in the wild. Max 25 years in captivity. It is extremely unlikely that any lion alive in the world in the early 90s, when development started, is somehow alive today. And on top of that, Animal Kingdom didn't open until 1998, so it's impossible that Disney animators visited the lions there for inspiration. So how on earth is the statement above possible?
@honorsolbe99962 жыл бұрын
the use of the word "influenced" implies that it is not a direct copy. Maybe she's just saying this is where the animators went for inspiration instead of saying these specific lions were the models.
