Brand names don’t matter. If an artist is pushing a brand name, it’s USUALLY because they’re being sponsored by that company. In reality, craft paint, cheap brushes, and cheap canvases work just fine, when you’re just painting as a hobby.
Specific colors and hues are not important. This is YOUR painting! Use colors YOU like and have on hand.
THINGS TO REMEMBER WHILE PAINTING…
✔️Use your artistic license. Change colors or anything else you’d like. The reference photo doesn’t have to be cloned.
✔️Paint loosely! Keep your brush moving, and DON’T overthink it!
✔️Use the largest brush you can, for the area you’re working on.
✔️Use cheap brushes. This way, you don’t have to be so careful with them. You’re free to abuse them a little if you need to.
✔️Display your art! This is something YOU created. Show it off!
