@Kaylen_Jakobsen nope, optimal disc first is at least 30 seconds faster because you're able to skip fighting the seahorse and pick up a faster egg (the one in the spikes just below fish head tele room), then death warp from bubble wand on cat straight to outside the 4 flame pillars, which is right next to the flute. The movement and disc tech is just hard and I haven't gotten consistent yet haha

​@@CaptainFalcoydone part of the game actually requires it if you would like to get a yellow rotund object. Left of mama lynx's room, or, right, then up from lizard head warp. To get on top of there for access to a code, you need to master the infinite bubble jump

So the bubble moves you up a pixel and then you move the bubble down a pixel. This changes your y while the wand changes your x. Normally it changes both. So if you play the right song and wait for the bubble to push you up on the last note (frame perfect, thats why you pause till you see a full bubble) it changes where you warp. In this case the room right next to the end.

You'll want to check out the "no major glitches" category then. This any% is pretty sick, though. There's only one glitched warp. Everything else is just optimized routing and movement

I saw this in my rec and wondered has hubert really just optimized the run that much or did we get a new warp. Insane to see its literally both. I cant imagine without some insane glitches that we can get much lower. Maybe shaving 30-40 seconds with WILD movement optimization but like i dont think were getting sub 3:45 (hell it would be a miracle to get sub 4)

It's called a bubble warp, basically you set it up so that the bubble updates your Y coordinate on the same frame as you finish the song and it sets your X coordinate.

You talking about the splash jump? It’s a sort of movement tech. I discovered it on my own with the yo-yo, basically any “splash” of water can push you around. If you time it just right you can get a big leap off the splash.

To my knowledge, it was known in development that you could be warped incorrectly with the flute, but I have my doubts it is intended gameplay

You have to move the crank to a specific spot. In the video, you see that there is about 1 complete revolution of the crank. All you do is jump onto the platform, and you will get launched up automatically.

I believe so. There is a puzzle in the room near the 2 flamingos that needs that (or repeated disc jumping which is way more difficult)

@@dudeat1320 Later in the game you get an upgraded bubble that lets you shoot infinite bubbles, I think that's what the flamingo puzzle is based on. I am not sure infinite jumping with the non-upgraded was intentional because you can skip a lot of puzzles doing so

@@patriotapocalypse8199 I got the bubble wand first and definitely used it to get to places earlier than 'intended', such as the flamingo room. From my experience, it didn't break the game at all and I still needed the other key items to properly progress, so nothing to worry about.

​@@Ochrehorns Oh wow, why didn't I think of that? Are you stupid? The baseline volume is too low. Shouldn't need to turn volume up to max for the video to be audible. I made that comment to let the uploader know, just in case they wanted to improve the quality of their future uploads.
