This part definitely got me searching for guides, but I'm glad that I was only an egg away from unlocking the room to get the flute anyway. Maybe it should only cost 6 eggs to unlock, so that you get the Flute earlier and ate less likely to feel stuck. That said, this game is genuinely one of my favourite games of the year. Everything is so well designed cohesive. The Yo-yo feels so nice to use. The Bubble does too. The audio is just fantastic, and the graphical style is super nostalgic, yet a breath of fresh air in today's game landscape. I was going to buy it anyway to support Dunkey and Big Mode, but I'd have bought it anyway if I saw it reviewed without knowing what it was. It's a bargain for such a great game.

To be fair, the dog chase was the last flame I needed, i was already way past 16 eggs when I did this. I had 8 before i even got the first flame. Theres so many eggs available, but if you dont explore, thats the price you pay.

I also found that you could make it a bit easier by using a frisbee to activate the switch in the second last room behind you, instead of dropping down the trap door

At 5:10 use the disk to flip the switch back. Then you can head directly to the right.

In the case of a normal run, I've found using a spinning top instead of a frisbee in rooms with dogs is quicker and easier.

If you somehow get the remote control before tackling this challenge it's even EASIER as you can use the remote control and cut off even more of this run. That's what I did. You don't need to do the bubble jump. Just climb up the ladder, use remote to remove wall, then stroll to place the disk.

I never did the chase, lol. I just found the mock disk on accident and brought it right to the cat statue

Yeah same. I was going to do it, but the chase looked kind of annoying, so I thought I'd try it tomorrow. However, just exploring naturally a little longer helped me find it. No chase needed

I found the mock disk too and thought I was so clever by swapping the real disc in the dogs mouth with the mock. Then later on I found the dog shrine that needed the mock disc and I shit my pants knowing what terror was to come.

At 1:50… that room is completely blocked off for me. How do I open it?

You need to open up a wall that is not there in the video. Follow a bit of the path backwards so you enter the room from the top, not from the bottom or left side.

How much trial and error did figuring this out take? Seems ludicrously complex, and I wonder how many players gave up at this point.

I mean, the exact details of your movement to avoid the ghost can get pretty complex, but fundamentally this part of the game is very simple: pick up the mock disk and bring it to the shrine using whichever path you want. Plus, this is the penultimate challenge of a puzzle game, so the player is probably pretty good at using their tools at this point, and the ghost is just there to add a bit of time pressure. Edit: also, this is the player retreading a path they’ve already been down, just with an added obstacle. So there isn’t actually any trial and error when it comes to figuring out where to go.

This part was too complicated. I gave up playing the game here. Hopefully the developers will patch this part to make it easier.

@@Batman-jc5uc the new age players are so eager to quit. if you can't do a basically timed platform challenge just stop playing platfrom puzzle games. Because of people like every game is simple as fuck and boring. Also your previous comment says no room for error which is not true. You have 4 heart +1 if you find a blue one. So basically you can get hit 5 times. It took me like 15-20 attempts do it but I finally did and you know why? because i am not bitching like you so the developer guy make it easier.

This is the part of the game most people are going to give up playing this game. It was just too hard. No room for error whatsoever. I uninstalled the game here.
