Chris Cooper Tosin usually uses an octaver to lower his guitar by another octave to record bass.

That’s awesome because there are only 12 power chords that actually exist, A5, A#/Bb5, B5, C5, C#/Db5, D5, D#/Eb5, E5, F5, F#/Gb5, G5, G#/Ab5. Although technically you could add B#5, Cb5, E#5 and Fb5 in there too but they are just enharmonic spellings of C5, B5, F5 and E5 and would only be used if you were in a key that is an extreme extension of the Circle of Fifths. Theory lesson over. 🙂

For anybody else freaking out by the bass pattern, here it is: Note -> 5 beats -> 2 notes -> 5 beats > note -> 5 beats -> 2 notes -> 5 beats -> note -> 5 beats. 32 beats overall. Makes sense after a few hours of desk tapping
