Did you know that the blobfish only looks that way out of water? As it is a deep sea creature, it lives under enormous pressure and so it's body is designed to push back against that pressure to stop itself being crushed. When removed from water however, the decompression causes it to expand into the blob that we see in that picture. I'd recommend looking up what they look like in their natural environment as they're actually quite beautiful.
