Its very funny coz we luos in Kenya call animals same... Cow - Dhia'ng.. Goat - Diel.. Sheep - Rombo.. Dog - Guok.. And we use it to insult others too, for example.." Guogni" meaning "you dog"..😁 Crocodile - Nya'ng.. and for clarity Sugarcane we call Niang... Snake - Thuol... Cat - Mbura ... Chicken - Gweno.. Buffalo - Omuga / Jowi.. Lion - Sibuor.. Cockroach - Olwenda.. Dove - Akuru.. etc...😁😁

Luo-Mbura Acholi-Twol. Luo- Thuol Acholi-Niang'. Luo-Nyang'. but niang' or tiang in luo means sugar canem Wonderful I love it all. We are just one.

Guok refers to a greedy person too in Anuak. It funny though to learn we borrowed the name of a 🐈 from Oromo language. Dhaak = is cattle Sorry that I couldn’t spell it in luo language
