For the bear cub I would have used mother bear calming gestures to show the cub that I'm not a foe. Maybe give it a bit of my food, bears do eat fish, but they also eat berries and the like. So if I had some fish jerky or dried nuts and berries they'd go to the cub. I'd be on my belly the whole time as well so I appear less threatening. Once I get close enough to the creature I'll hold it still while someone tends to the trap.

at 4:45 the turtles are actually better under the ice. They have evolved mechanisms to stay in a hibernation-like state under ice to conserve oxygen. If the ice is broken, then they are exposed to the cold air which could be fatal. Luckily they were brought to a clinic though.

It’s really good to see people actually helping animals. But I fucking hate circuses, mostly because in the past they abused animals for their “spectacles” and, while most of my friends liked to go to watch these “spectacles” I preferred staying at home playing skyrim or some other game. I mean I get it if they are a problem for a farm. We re-introduced wolves and bears in Germany, Italy and Eastern Europe and now they are doing better than expected and some farmers are having trouble with some problem wolves who just go on a killing spree and massacre all their sheep (not eating them though). But shooting them in secluded forest is messed up.
