@sarahprice659 If the cow stepped on 1, then yeah, she'll get bit. They're stealth hunters, so they use the water to conceal themselves until right before they strike. They also need to use the water to drown large prey like a cow. I have taken selfies 2m away from a big basking wild aligator. I also ran away from a pond when I lost sight of another big aligator that went into the water. Those animals are somewhat predictable when you understand them.
