NUMBATS are shy animals compilations

NUMBAT! (yes really)
Scientific name: Myrmecobius fasciatus
These cute small-sized marsupial are NUMBATS, also called the banded anteater. They are a small endangered marsupial animal native to parts of Australia. They have a long sticky tongue that allows them pick up termites, which they eat exclusively.

All my life, just seeing pictures of them in wildlife books, I always imagined they were more like skinny canines. Apparently they're actually more like striped squirrels (with snake tongues). The more you know.

Bibi Haryanto Its always easy to guess which animals are from Australia. They will usually have a funny name like "Numbat", Wombat, Bandicoot, Dugong, Kookabura, etc. Chances are, it may also be a marsupial as well.
