There are some great licensed games like Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers on the NES and Tiny Toon Adventures Buster's Hidden Treasure on the Sega Genesis, but I think that the king of them is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Aside from the very first game, they are some of if not the best beat 'em ups I have ever played.

The only Animaniacs game I have is Lights, Camera, Action! (the DS game). It's an isometric platformer. I gotta be honest, I don't really like it but I'll at least finish the game. I wish it didn't use level passwords though, I mean for a 2005 game that's kinda weird.

The Animaniacs Game Pack has a very nice place in my heart, and the Animaniacs A Gigantic Adventure was a fun PC side scroller.

The Great Edgar Hunt is a game that to me is all about it's atmosphere. Those small special tucked away areas that truly feel mysterious but beautiful. The soundtrack that goes along with these locations make them feel so magical. If for whatever reason you read this comment and want to know what i am talking about, I would visit the western area and go to the lake near the mineshaft and explore around there. The Western area is really captivating for me and holds a special place in my heart. While the story is not amazing, I think some of the jokes are actually really well written and are even relevant to this day. Overall a beautiful game that I would call a genuine hidden gem. Cheers.

I have a fondness for the Felix the Cat game on the NES, but that may be because it was the only NES game at that I beat on the original software.

I miss when any cartoon under the sun could and often would get a licensed console game. Sure some...well, most of them weren't great, but they're at least fun to talk about. As a big Animaniacs fan, this video was a lot of fun! It would be cool to see you review more of their games, or maybe the Pinky and the Brain games. I hope they do something again with this franchise soon, the reboot totally deserves more episodes.

Personally I find that really lazy, disappointing and not a good excuse since not only does emulation easily exist, but people come to videos like these for a comprehensive look, not a "yeah whatever here's the bare minimum because I don't want to try that hard, but I want views and traffic from interest in the source material anyway". But ok. If you really wanna praise people for doing the bare minimum, fine.

I used to agree about the genesis pad layout but then I realized its ideal for arcade type games and grip where you place several fingers over the buttons. The 6 button pad is far better for traditional grips but the 3 button is amazing if you're seeking something similar to arcade layouts

Huh I didn't think there were that few Animaniacs games. Like Tiny Toons had a lot of games years after it was cancelled.

The Sega Genesis actually came BEFORE the SNES, and was primarily an early competitor to the NES before the SNES was officially released in North America, so it's controller wasn't in response to the SNES (since they didn't know what it would look like) but was in response to the NES's controller, merely just one-upping that controller by adding one more button than it had.

I hope some day you get to play the other Animaniacs games because there's some interesting stuff in there. The SNES game for instance was a very strange puzzle game in which you had to use the three Warners to solve riddles and the like, and there's also a bowling game that must have been good enough because Space Jam 2 allegedly reuses the models from that game!

Nope, you mean the Genesis version. The SNES version is side-scroller with dodging mechanics.

I only have experience with the Animaniacs game for the SNES which I played on emulator and never could get a good ending for, but I am amused that both Animaniacs and Tiny Toons got games LONG after they had been gone and done. From what I heard An American Tail ALSO got a PS2 game WAY after they stopped making even cheap direct to video sequels, and I just ask myself who is going around pushing these old IP's for video game renewal WAY after their time? It just boggles the mind.

The Tiny TOons game for the SNES; Buster Busts Loose, was an old favorite of mine even if it was very simple, and TMNT: Turtles in Time was a classic. Beyond that though... I tihnk the last really good licensed game I played was the Arkham series for Batman.

90s was a good time for cartoon games they didn't need to do much with them. modernly I want to see more games do Epick Micky quality BTW ever play Monkey Island? Sam and Max also do well for cartoon games

I have played a re-release of the first Monkey Island, but other than that, no. My experience with point and clicks is very limited, outside of Grim Fandango or various indie horror games.

The 6-button is the better one to hold, but you have to hold the MODE button before you turn on the console for some earlier games don't work with it.

You are way too unfairly harsh on the PS2 graphics here. These are actually really good for the time. In fact you're just way too unfairly harsh on EVERYTHING in that game.
