Thanks for the video, It was really helpful. And If you don't mind, I'd like to know about How to fix Wipe center of Radial wipe ? When I move circles, The Wipe center doesn't move with cirlcles together so..It's a little uncomfortable. Of course I can change the center but, I wanna handle it more easliy.
@andrewpach
@andrewpach 4 жыл бұрын
You could create a null object (separately) > connect it to the Wipe Center property with an expression and parent that null object to the circle layer. This null object would follow wherever the circle layer goes and adjust the wipe in the process, I think that would be the best solution

Very nice tutorial.. thanks! I use radial wipe but the actual transformation starts at 50%. Why?
@andrewpach
@andrewpach 2 жыл бұрын
You can adjust the starting points by changing the values. Also the first vertex or anchor point may be influential with that kind of effect.

Question, if I create a shape layer of a stroke and I add the radial wipe on it, it works. But If I change the position of my shape layer, the radial wipe stops working. Any idea why that is? Thanks in advance!
@andrewpach
@andrewpach 4 жыл бұрын
On the radial wipe effect inside its properties you have something like "Wipe Center". Make sure you click on it and move it towards the middle of your new position, or even give it the same keyframes so everything stays in tact ;)

@andrewpach
@andrewpach 4 жыл бұрын
open and close your after effects and press 0 on num pad or space and you should see a good preview. Please try following the tutorial, you need to create circles in the first place. You can click on the area where there is a rectangle (and hold the click ) and change the shape tool to a circle. Then you just add circles and radial wipe to it ;)

my radial wipe WONT WORK! it goes way too fast and closes from both sides despite it being set to clockwise.
@andrewpach
@andrewpach 4 жыл бұрын
Hello hello Johnny, wait. There is no "won't work" trust me AE is such a obscure beast that there are sooooooooooooooooo many ways of making mistakes and wrong moves in that software. Are you for certain creating a closed shape / path? Have you tried setting the angle? Don't worry about it going too fast, quickness can be changed with keyframes and keyframes can be set as far apart as you like, just make sure your composition is long enough by setting the composition time to for example 30 seconds (make sure you do 30 seconds, not just 30 frames!)
