@@HydraSpectre1138 Thing is she got derailed pretty fast. In the original movie, and some the general Disney cartoons she was a one dimensional character. The literal explanation was due to her size she could only hold onto one emotion at a time. But then she became the mascot, used in a few Disney promo's and shorts, eventually given her own movie series. By that time the only thing the same was the general appearance and even then she had her sexuality toned down with a longer dress and what not. It was an odd change and due to having a sister I saw more than a few of those movies... and they basically went like the Barbie movies. She had very little personality of her own, most of it custom built to fit the plot of the current situation. Oh and a friend for every situation as well to cover more negative traits they don't want to give her like greed, jealousy etc.

Ironically enough, the only time I've come across a 'love potion plot' where it's both done well and the character using it is likeable is in a song called "Love Potion Number 9". I always prefer using the 'love potion' plot for either a villain who wants to use it on a person who is clearly not interested in them, but the villain refuses to take no for an answer and will do anything to get the person or perhaps a parent character who wants their kid to go out with a person they want them to marry against their kid's own will, consent and desires (Which Shrek 2 has done this pretty well), or someone who tries it on anyone they might have a shot at, but they learn it's a bad idea (Which one episode of MLP G4, as well as Rick and Morty actually does this well), mainly the former because it makes much more sense.

@@nekonomicon2983 Well, Mr. Enter is a man who likes, almost demands, life be on his terms. He will clearly complain about and attack anything he doesn't like, but has never been seen debating anyone and doesn't seem to like direct confrontation, preferring to sling stones from the comfort of his own videos. For example, he doesn't take requests because if it isn't his idea or his choice, he can't motivate himself to do anything. Now here's his whimsicott, which puts up all these barriers and defenses so you can't fight back while it slings status effects from a safe distance, never bothering with a direct fight. It's how Mr. Enter handles all of his problems from what I've seen.

This isn't the only piece of media with a positive opinion of love potions from a good aligned character. I still remember in Harry Potter when Molly Weasley said that she got together with he husband through the use of a love potion. Edit: I was told to edit my correction up here since people only read header comments, so here: "Ok I found it, and it was a bit different than I remembered. Apparently in Prisoner of Azkaban she was telling Ginny and Hermione about how she brewed a love potion as a girl and they all giggled about it. There wasn't actually any mentioned who she used it on or even if she did use it on someone. I apologize for being misleading, due to misremembering."

Juke Box Musicals aren't always bad. Sometimes they pick out their songs perfectly to fit the mood of the movie. Book of Life is a perfect example. The music is picked really well in it. It mostly uses snippets rather than the full song, but they fit right where they need to, like Manolo singing Creep by Radiohead to accentuate how out of place he feels, or the goofy love songs his friends sing because they're not good at helping him with romance. On top of that, two original songs that are gorgeous.

Give the "Alvin and the Chipmunks" films credit. The setting takes place in modern times and the characters are teenagers in a pop band, so of course pop songs should be added, even if the music isn't original. Also, because the characters are in a band, pretty much every pop song fits during a concert, rehearsal or audition scene.

The faerie king isn't bright either. He says his daughter must marry so there will be a king. He'd know that can't legally happen. When a woman is the heir to the thrown, she becomes queen, but her husband stays a prince. This is because a king is a higher authority than a queen. He doesn't have the authority to make political decisions. He can order around the palace staff, run a charity, and try to persuade his wife to make decisions he likes. In the end, it's the queen's call though. His job is to be her husband, father to their children, and accompany her to public appearances. An example of this is Queen Elizabeth II and her recently deceased husband Prince Philip.
