Very strange that they went with Cathy in 1998 since Cathy is most associated with the 1980s.

Actually, the comic reached peak syndication around 1994. Just two years later, my hometown's paper decided to replace it with something else. Big mistake! I loved going to Grandma's house so I could catch up on Cathy. This ad takes me right back to those days 😊
