woooohooo. the news story esp the weather report made me fall from my chair. this video is so lovely and awesome, exactly what i need after 30 years :) just got my first amiga 1k and digging into video stuff -.... thats so much fun.

The person who made this sure kniew what they where doing! Multiple camera angles, close ups, static camera and a clip on microphone with load clear voice makes this viewable more than 30 years later :) Just goes to show how importance of sound quality (in video). Back in 1991 editing would have required very expensive hardware. Kudos to the producers and the person who transferred this video from tape ==> KZbin.

The symmetry paint option is very interesting. That's a complex feature not even available in today's expensive paint applications.
@sablesanctum8 жыл бұрын
I don't know about proprietary software, but there's a symmetry mode in Krita. I use it extensively.

There is symmetry paint in most drawing software actually

@@hunterericson6782 yes but my A2000 hard disk crashed. But I am confident to get it back working. I also replaced the 3.0 chips with 3.1 for the A1200.

Imagine how stunning this must have been back in the days... this machine was released in 1987.... Oh, by the way... can you spot some Technics concise-series components in the background? There are a RS-M02 tape deck, a SU-C01 preamp ad the allmighty SL-10 turntable.. Funny how I've got all of them plus some more stuff (together that's about 60 pounds of die-cast) right next my Amiga 4000 :-)

Amiga 1000 was released when the market was dominated by 8-bit computers. It was mindblowing that you could create such animations using a home computer. People who are laughing at this video don't know how game changing Amiga was nad how limited computers were at the time.

At the time I was using Mac LC and I thought it was top-notch. I showed-off a postage stamp-sized Quicktime video playing on my mac to an Amiga user... he was laughing and saying he could capture full screen video and what not. Talk about humiliation.

Autodesk Animator on a 386 pc ran a lot better than this amiga (circa 1996 IIRC)
@AtaruMor0boshi2 жыл бұрын
that's a full 5 years later dude.This A2000 was getting old in '91 just as i386 was obsolete in 1996. But then, on the Amiga you got VideoToaster 4000 for video stuff...
