I love how Durandal has a battlesuit that uses both fanservice and crazy designs. Sure her torso is barely covered, but have you seen the nuclear thrusters in her skirt??? It glows blue because of Cherenkov Radiation.

You know Honkai radiation is insane if it makes Nuclear radiation safe to use to the point that Cherenkov light is just used for thruster lighting.

Yeah, the chapter XV cutscene is my favorite. I love the way you can feel how strong the characters are and how much weight all of their attacks have. Some of the others may be objectively better, but this one made such a strong impression on me.

The first one has Kiana, who has been running from her guilt over what her possessed evil said has done, and afraid of losing control again. Her evil side's victims are represented by Himeko, but at the same time, that mental representation of Himeko is asking "what are you waiting for?" And Kiana responds "I won't run away ever again," just before gaining partial control over her powers. She does struggle with control after that, but she's no longer too afraid to use what she's got. In the second one, we see part of a battle between the strongest warrior of the Previous Era, Kevin, and the strongest warrior of the Current Era, Bianka 'Durandal' Ataegina. The two characters are great contrasts and foils for each other, yet their goals are the same. They're also not going all-out. And despite the epicness of the sequence, it's also just a distraction so Kiana can make her escape.

As always I love your breakdowns! so many neat things I never noticed, like in the first video. I've probably seen that over 30 times now watching other people react to it and i've never ever noticed that the smoke stuck to the camera like that!

5:07 totally didn't notice that. But I guess it works fine with the camera shake. Maybe it's intentionally done so to create a sense of disorientation?

Another thing to point out in the Durandal vs Kevin animation is the delay between the flash visual effects of the impact (is what I would call it) and the explosion sound effect when their attacks met to show the scale of their attacks. We all know how light reaches us way faster than sound, lightning x thunder is a good example of this. It shows how even though the "cameraman" was so far away from them, they can still feel the weight of the attacks Also, I love how you basically guessed the difference between Durandal's and Kevin's capabilities with just that single frame at 14:58 I'm not sure if you've watched some videos about their backgrounds or if the viewers told you some things about Kevin but it's so cool that you had that takeaway from that single frame

16:21 its just concentrated ice powers, that spikes out after hitting the lance, so it can be said that, that is just an explosion of ice.... maybe Edit: The maybe part is, becuase i don't think it can be considered an ice explosion, so i don't know

I'm making my way through them all in (roughly) story order. The recency doesn't matter so much to me. I just love animation. Eventually I'll get to more recent ones, but there's always something technical to talk about so i don't want to skip any
