Congrats Laura!! Can't wait to watch K-Pop Demon Hunters! I feel that movie is gonna absolutely gonna blow us away with such a cool team of artists behind it. Also, thanks for still sharing your professional journey! Your videos have been so helpful and inspirational :) I remember I started watching them when I was working as a graphic designer, and now I'm at Disney TVA as a character designer. Artists like you are the reason I love animation so much!

HELLO FELLOW DEMON HUNTER! I swung by to say hi because a friend of mine from outside of the industry mentioned that she's subscribed to you, and this video made her realize we're coworkers on the same project! But since I'm in edit it's a bit hard for our departments to be in the same meeting space, which kinda sucks sometimes but it be what it do. Anyways, I have the same feelings about KPOP being a dream job! I also freaked out when I realized who was going to be working in art and visdev, who was gonna be directing, etc. Thanks for summing up these feelings so my lazy butt doesn't have to LOL Keep up the good work, btw! I keep peeping at stuff whenever it gets sent to us and it blows me away every time. I may or may not have spent a little bit of extra time just STARING at it all instead of doing my work but don't tell anyone >__>

Q: I'm in the opposite situation rn being in a very long project with my dream company (UX design & occasional artist), are there any projects or companies that you would still take a longer position for? Hey Laura!! I adore your videos and have watched them for years. I just got accepted into an animation school in Canada (I live in the uk) and I’m wondering what are your thoughts on pursuing animation at this time? I keep hearing that it’s gone downhill in terms of finding work/ short contracts and more risky than ever. Is it really this bad atm? Is it better to peruse a more stable career in psychology over here in the uk with art on the side, or should I pursue my dream? Just want to get a professional pov. Now I’ll go rewatch/study your speedpaints haha

P.S (Are you still doing portfolio reviews at all? I really want to start my art career. I’m confident in my art skills, and my knowledge of the pipeline. Yet I feel my portfolio isn’t doing well. I’ve been applying to a lot of jobs and haven’t heard anything back. My current life doesn’t let me draw as much as I would like so I know it’s sparse. but I do like to think I put in quality pieces.) I understand if you can’t with your busy schedule tho ❤

My vote is that it should be totally acceptable. Especially in a creative field. At the end of the day the worker is always replaceable so you might as well go where you wanna be.
