It doesn't. Check out Genji's cinematic short. Notice how they never show him drawing or sheathing the long katana during the point where the tip would have to go into the scabbard. Or check out his ultimate slowed way down and observe how his arm either has to stretch to draw it or the sword has to phrase through the scabbard or bend like a pretzel. In short, back scabbards for swords aren't a thing except for two-handed weapons too big to use one.

My criticisms: I like the style, the comedy is there and it's good. The models look like their in-game counterparts, however their movement can be rigid at times. I wouldn't recommend using actual voice lines from the game, as the different voices aren't accurate. Very creative turning that into a joke for reaper with his voice cracking. Something else positive, the backgrounds were incredibly detailed and from different perspectives on the map, you could always tell where they were.
