Thanks, I haven't made any recently, but if there is anything color or line or drawing wise you might want me to touch on, let me know.

This is by far the best and most useful video on Toon Boom for any beginner coming from different simpler software, you explained it so clearly and I can actually understand how colors work in here and you helped me to get used to node view. Thanks so much this vid is insanely underrated.

You did it super fast hahaha, can you explain the shadowing stuff slowly? please!
@gradeafun6 жыл бұрын
Sure. I'll make another video specifically about creating shadows and the nodes you can use in Harmony. Give me maybe a week and it'll be ready. If you subscribe to the channel, it will notify you once it is posted. Thanks for checking out my channel.

Why clean up with the brush tool instead of pencil tool ? The pencil tool allows you to make more adjustments to the line thickness and line texture on the clean-up drawings.
@gradeafun5 жыл бұрын
Mostly because in the early versions of the toon boom software I didn't care much for the pencil tool. It is waaaay better now. Truth be told, unless I was rigging a character I probably wouldn't use the pencil. I would redraw the line instead of tweaking it. In my mind it feels faster to redraw a line instead of adjusting it. Purely preferential.

Whats that brush your using it looks really cool! Any chance you could share it ?
@gradeafun5 жыл бұрын
I don't think I ever saved the brush. I just use the square tip with tapering.

How did your coloring get so clean?? Last time I tried that fill in trick, it had a lot of white dots
@gradeafun4 жыл бұрын
I always fill the color on the color layer. Never had any problem with any white dots. I also make sure to close the lines too.

Do you have the project file for this one? It'd be awesome if you can share it

@gradeafun3 жыл бұрын
@@jesskennethatarle7540 Ohhh. No problem, When you go in the color later, you can use the color to close the lines then fill it. You can see little boxes where they are not closed. Hope that helps. If not, I can make a video for you.

Colors are so annoying in toon boom harmony, you have to make a new entity for EVERY SINGLE COLOR !! And it would be useful if there wasn't any bugs in these colors ! Because when you save and quit, you load back the project and some of the colours turn magenta !!! What the heck !?
@gradeafun4 жыл бұрын
When I started using Harmony it would drive me crazy too. Thing is Harmony is designed for animation production. The system works really well when you have multiple people coloring shots because they can't get it wrong. It is also super effective if you need to change the color of something across 100+ shots. It is as simple as you change the color in the shared palette and it changes the color in every shot that uses that palette. I've done it before and it is a life saver! If your colors go magenta when opening your file, you just need to find where your palette is saved and open it again and pop, your colors are back! Once you adjust to the workflow, you start to really like it.

Great piece of music! But a narrator in the background is constantly talking and interfering with it, what is he trying to say?!

You can turn on captions if you're having a hard time hearing the main voice. I thought it would be entertaining to layer the voices. My Bad. Thanks for the feedback.

Not enjoying this color pallet stuff. Adobe Animate is alot better with color.
@gradeafun3 жыл бұрын
It takes some getting accustomed to, but if you ever need to change the color of something across multiple files, if they all use the same palette, it is done. When I used animate, you had to make changed in each file.
