It's been said someone dies twice. Once when the body dies and again when someone utters your name for the last time in history. These Japanese guys and gals are coming correct with the pop lock culture. Keeping it alive.

I forget Boogaloo Shrimp went to Japan and literally introduced all of this to their culture! You can still find the old video clips they even had him advertising toothpaste and a truck commercial I believe! I remember him saying he really enjoyed this time in Japan! It still is interesting seeing them dress up in the west coast fashion style, if y'all show this clip to ice cube he probably be confused 😆

I think Tony GoGo brought locking to Japan also.

bugaloo shrimp was the one who taught the Japanese culture pop locking. back in 1985 ..the music is from that era.zapp and Roge music ..you hear it.

@rayquelleruggs40807 жыл бұрын
Why do you say that?.zapp and Roger isn't young..i know regurgitated music when I hear it.. This is zapp and Roger beat and rhythm from the 80s with Japanese words. Next!!!!...you can see bugaloo teaching Japanese people on video in 1985..there was no pop locking before the 80s in japan. Hell....you are the one that is yound.lmao

You are the orignal /authenic of life.everything else is replica/carbon copy.We are cool like that.even your bad habits will be copied .The most MOCK man on the planet is YOU..Every nationality copies the black man.You just have to recognized your own shit.you are among thieves that will take your shit and SWEAR it's theirs. I am too old not to recognized authenic hip hop.Some hip hop legends are dead.In about 20 years,these other people will have claim some part of our culture as theirs.mark my word.If E-40 wasn't alive,Lil yatchy would have claimed using the word" broccoli lingo" for the first time in a rap song as HIS. .E-40 had to pull out his shit AND Let him know, "Everyone ain't dead yet, I did it first."no one had lingo like e-40,twister,dana dane,and many more . This is why i enjoy seeing bugaloo get down, and all my Authenic hip hop people who come out to play. It was fun back then! Not loaded with death.
I love how they copy a music style and give it their own flow and make something new of it.Great guys

most of the name in urban dances were just slang at beggining. there is no real academy behind all the techniques, names and styles. so there is no real right and wrong. i for example would say that boog is a kind of boogaloo(electric) but you are more focused on your legs than on the whole body. the first time i saw this word, was in a suga-pop video, in which he dances like i described.
@berberic12 жыл бұрын
maybe pop-locking? i know that some say that it is crap to say that, cause you cant pop and lock at same time, and other say that og called popping pop-lock befor. i would say that it is maybe not possible to pop and lock at the very same moment, but most of the poppers, sometimes, also do a clean lock instead of a pop to accentuate the snare, clap or snap. so...i think i'm tired, i don't know why i post this. = )
