I like that this whole animation wasn't just "le stick figure in le Minecraft" it had genuinely good ideas and writing, the little guys aren't just building houses as if to say "look we can animate guys building Minecraft houses", it's so they later have materials to build their gear out of. The misplaced block of cobblestone leads to a wooden pickaxe being made, then a stone pickaxe, then they mine the decorative iron blocks to make iron gear, then the beacon for diamond tools. Aside from the premise of little coloured stick figures making creative uses out of an ordinary desktop, you can tell there was a genuine understanding and passion for Minecraft that blended well with Alan's creativity

This episode alone makes me realize how well Alan replicated like *everything* in Minecraft Even the small details and the things most people don't notice like the way arrows bend downwards and fall when a block that an arrow is on is broken. Years later still my favourite animation series ever created. No talking, yet still has the most expression in animation I’ve seen in a while. No completely overwhelming character designs but you can still tell who each and every one of them are based on how their body language speaks. I can even have a favourite character without them being ruined by the fandom, bc they’re just stickmen (it’s green) :)
